c350: 341: Vassal Slaves

Chapter 350: Chapter 341: Vassal Slaves The sky was ablaze.

The faces of the Cat Race were filled with despair; from the moment the enemies stormed the camp, death shadowed them. In truth, they did not know where to escape, as enemy silhouettes were everywhere.

A pack of Kobolds.

They wielded Steel Sabers or some enormous weapons, slaughtering wantonly, and every ugly face was filled with madness.

For the Cat Race, no one could stop this atrocity.

Amidst the firelight, a Kobold first chopped down an old man, then grabbed a young girl and threw her to the ground. Their eyes shone with a fearful red glow, resembling beasts, driven only by the urge for slaughter and blood.

The ground was littered with corpses, limbs and blood everywhere. The massacre continued like some extreme ritual, and everyone had become sacrifices for this evil prayer.

...............

Past events were vivid in their minds; it was for this reason they chose to pick up their weapons and inflict the same pain on the enemies.

"Fire."

For most of the Cat Race, they didn’t even understand how a ’gun’ worked, but this didn’t affect their ability to use it.

The time for counterattack had arrived.

With Flora’s command, all the Cat Race pressed the triggers in their hands. Immediately after, came the continuous roar of gunfire, as blood flowers bloomed among the enemies. In just a moment, at least forty Kobolds lay in pools of blood, and countless more were hit.

"Continue!"

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

A barrage of gunfire rang out until everyone had exhausted their bullets. Before them, not a single Kobold was left standing.

The majority of the Kobolds lay dead on the ground, and some avoided fatal hits but were still shot and started wailing on the ground.

Usually ferocious creatures, at this moment, they were like wolves with broken spines, their whimpers echoing in the air, clearly a plea for help.

However...

No matter how they wailed, no comrades appeared again in the camp.

Everything was too bizarre.

The Kobolds in the camp were dumbfounded; at this point, they hadn’t even seen the enemies’ faces, and the elite of their tribe lay on the ground. Undoubtedly, the opponents’ power was beyond their imagination.

The remaining Kobolds trembled; they had a primal fear of the strong.

Flora emerged from the grass, followed by one, ten, twenty Cat Race members, walking towards the Kobolds’ camp.

"Pfft!"

Passing by a Kobold, Flora, without mercy, kicked it in the chest. It had already been shot in the stomach, writhing in pain, and now faced with a peak-level warrior, it couldn’t evade and rolled to the ground, lifeless.

The finishing began.

Looking at the opponents who had brought endless nightmares to their tribe, lying on the ground, the Cat Race breathed heavily. Someone, whose identity was unclear, first sliced an enemy’s throat with a blade, and quickly this slaughter spread. In just a few minutes, the Kobolds still gasping on the ground were all slashed to death.

Flora walked to the lower part of the camp.

A wolf pup was watching her; it was about eighty centimeters tall, clearly not yet an adult. Its small stature had helped it avoid gunshots, perhaps due to family killed in the gunfire, or it hadn’t yet learned to fear. The pup glared fiercely at Flora, occasionally making threatening growls.

Blood splattered.

Flora wasn’t a kind-hearted person. She lifted the pup and then slammed it headfirst onto the ground. In an instant, like a shattered watermelon, it died on the ground.

She needed the Kobolds in the camp to completely lose their wits to possibly take over the camp fully.

A scar-faced Kobold stood above. Seeing the pup killed by Flora, it let out an angry roar, its rage not just for the slaughter of its kin but more for an instinctual fear.

The Kobold leader roared, seemingly making some decision, letting out a hoarse call from deep in its throat.

More like a summoning than a battle cry.

Not long after.

A huge and terrifying shadow suddenly burst from the ground. Its barbed body resembled thorns, and it was holding a Kobold in its mouth.

The Kobold was already dead, entangled by the creature, bleeding profusely, and its neck broken. Flora frowned and looked closely, seeing a pitch-black monster she’d never seen before staring at her, its eyes emitting a blood-like ferocity.

The creature was as thick as a barrel, resembling a python yet entirely black with spines, exuding an overwhelming stench. Its body protruding from the desert was already four meters long, and it was still partially buried in the desert. Its full length was unknown!

The Abyss is dangerous.

In such an environment, some tribes, to increase their chances of survival, would even serve powerful beings hoping these beings would protect them.

This is a Dark Demon Python.

Corroded by the Abyss, this serpent has mutated—its massive size, abundant vitality, long life, rich experience, and unique secret skills make it infinitely stronger than humans of the same rank. Humans, without using weapons and even in combined forces, stand little chance against savage beasts of equal level!

Undoubtedly.

The Kobolds used food to please it and then summoned it back when needed at the camp.

This was a mutually beneficial relationship.

However, this summoning came at a price, as several Kobolds were mercilessly devoured by the serpent, completely devoid of emotion.
