c5159: Punishing Thousand Windblades

A few hours later, Girias and Harmon had fainted, blood still flowing out of their severed bodies as their bodies tried to regenerate. The shackles were also standard cultivation shackles that blocked their meridians and sealed their dantians, strong enough to not let their souls leave.

Davis finally stopped after peeling them for the fifth time.

He moved to the shadows to clean himself of their vile blood and walked out to the other side.

Evelynn released the Slumber Hex on Thousand Windblades at this moment.

His consciousness was consequently aroused, and in a few seconds he opened his eyes, his gaze filled with confusion.

He found himself still within the secluded underground cave where the heaven and earth energy was thicker than any place he had laid his eyes upon.

However, why was he chained?

He heard some footsteps approach him, which, through the sound and the minor amount of wind it generated, felt like it belonged to the City Lord. When he raised his head up, he froze.

His pupils dilated into tiny slits.

Davis chuckled, "You decisively left your Verdant Vale Lower Realm instead of getting on your knees and apologizing to the best of your ability as the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm’s Realm Master did. I have to say that I really admire that decisiveness of yours."

"..."

Thousand Windblades forced an unsightly smile, "I was ready to kowtow, but you didn’t give me a chance as you made it clear we can’t live under the same sky."

"Sure, I did."

Davis recalled the projection he had filmed with Calypsea and sent it to a dozen Lower Realm Realm Masters or so.

It brought him fond memories.

"But it all depends on sincerity- I do not mean wealth, but how useful you could be to me and my family as we’re still trying to survive in this world. It was a golden opportunity. If you could ingratiate yourself with Saint Riyal Mendez, then you could’ve very well done it with me."

"..." Thousand Windblades scoffed, not believing it.

"But not bad, you’re keeping your cool. Living for millions of years does have some benefits." Davis chuckled coldly, "I guess you can deal with it better than Harmon and Girias, who were scared shitless and lost all forms of resistance once they knew who I was, only trying to hope for the slightest chance of survival..."

"...!" Thousand Windblades’ expression quivered as he shouted.

"I could still be useful to you. I have a record of the Saint’s illegal activities with me here. Oh, it’s a bit difficult for me to produce since you already have it. It’s in my spatial ring you have right now."

"..."

Davis stared at him, wondering why he was trying to sound smart here when he didn’t even have the upper hand.

After a few seconds, he bent down and began releasing his shackles.

"...!"

Thousand Windblades looked overjoyed. Once the shackles fell, he rose to his feet and quickly bowed.

"Thank-"

The words Thousand Windblades barely managed to utter failed to leave his mouth before a knee crashed into his face with enough force to snap his head backward.

Before he could stumble away or even be sent flying, his hair was held, and a fist found his cheek.

Each punch landed with ruthless precision, one hitting the jaw to cause dissonance, one hitting the eye to blind, and one hitting the nose to- to cause a nosebleed.

Davis held onto his hair, refusing to let him escape the punishment. Thousand Windblades’ body swayed from side to side as every strike rattled his senses. His vision blurred while his ears rang with alarm.

The former Realm Master attempted to raise his arms in defense.

Davis immediately smashed his forearm aside, breaking his bone, and drove another punch into his jaw, dislocating it and breaking his teeth.

"You really think I was going to spare you?" Davis laughed.

A heavy fist struck his abdomen.

Thousand Windblades doubled over, only to have his head yanked upward again.

Davis unceremoniously stopped, looking as though he was going to say something when Thousand Windblades tried to hurriedly say something.

"Wait- I-"

Davis suddenly grabbed his collar with his free hand and hurled him against the cave wall.

Thousand Windblades hit the stone with a crack that echoed through the chamber and slid down in a heap. Before he could even process the pain, his body was already being dragged back up by the collar, feet barely scraping the ground.

Davis threw him over and struck him to the ground, planting his face down.

A groan escaped the buried head.

Thousand Windblades instinctively pushed his palms flat against the floor as he tried to raise himself up, but a foot came down and stamped on the back of his head, further pushing him down as his face got ruthlessly shaved by the rock splinters.

Thousand Windblades screamed, his voice muffled within the ground.

Davis stepped off casually and let him writhe for a moment before yanking him upright by the back of his robes. He spun him around and drove a knee straight into his gut, folding him clean in half. Then he caught him by the shoulder before he could fall and yanked him with the finest force, ripping his arm off his body with brute force.

The sound of flesh being ripped apart and bones cracking under pressure before popping disgustingly resounded across the cave.

"Aaaaah!"

Thousand Windblades staggered back as he fell and rolled down while holding his shoulder.

But suddenly, his leg was caught.

A pincer-like grip directly crushed his ankle, causing him to hiss out in pain as he still had a semblance of sanity in his soul, but it got crushed little by little in the next few moments as his leg was ripped apart from the knee while the thigh was torn halfway, hanging like a pound of flesh hooked above the counter by a bone.

"What’s wrong? After being stripped clean, you don’t have any other methods to contact the outside forces? You’re very cautions, aren’t you?"
