The being that emerged from the fog was an insectoid in the form of a mantis.
All Jiu Zhou cultivators were familiar with insectoids. After all, insectoid attacks happened frequently on the Spirit Creek Battlefield. Many cultivators had witnessed how destructive the insectoids could be.

Those insectoids came in different forms and sizes. Some were flying like mantises while some were walking on all fours like hyenas. There were also some that were covered in bone armour with sharp barbs on their shoulders which radiated an icy glint under the Moonlight. Some were like centipedes as they quickly crawled across the ground with their many legs.
The first mantis insectoid had discovered the presence of Lu Ye and the others, so it flapped its wings and flew towards them.
Many insectoids in different forms followed the mantis closely.
Li Baxian cast his flying swords which shot through the insectoids. As the Sword Light flickered, many insectoids fell to the ground.
Feng Yuechan assisted Li Baxian in killing the enemies by continuously casting her spells.
Even Yi Yi, who had been hiding inside Amber, emerged and used her spells to deal with the enemies.
Although the three of them were fairly powerful, they found it difficult to deal with the storm of insectoids.
Soon enough, many insectoids reached them.
Ju Jia stood in front of everyone. Lu Ye, Xiao Xinghe, and Lin Yinxiu stood on each side of Ju Jia as they cast their weapon lights to kill the insectoids.
Lu Ye donned a solemn expression.
He had experienced the insectoid attack once on the Spirit Creek Battlefield. However, it was much easier to deal with those insectoids than the ones before his eyes now. After all, the insectoids were on the Spirit Creek Battlefield, so their powers were naturally not strong.
