Considering their cultivation, they could capture the woman sooner or later. But with Lu Ye’s help, it had saved them some trouble.

The young man replied matter-of-factly, “I’m going to take her away, of course.”
Lu Ye looked impassively at him. “She’s in my hands now. Where do you think you’re taking her?”
The young man scowled. “She’s from Thousand Demon Ridge. Just now, we got into a fight with her and her companions. All of them were killed, but she managed to flee. Since she’s fallen into your hands, please hand her over to us so that we can take her back and interrogate her. Perhaps we’ll glean some useful information from her.”
“Since I’ve captured her, I’m supposed to be the one to interrogate her. You can go back now.”
The young man arched his brow, apparently misunderstanding something. “Are you trying to snatch her away from us and take the credit?”
“She’s in my hands now. You’re the one who is trying to take the credit from me!” Lu Ye glanced dispassionately at him.
The young man glowered at him as the muscles beneath his eyes twitched. He exuded a dangerous aura as he took a deep breath and asked, “What’s your name?”
“Lu Ye of Blue Flame Mountain Pass.”
“Blue Flame Mountain Pass?” The young man frowned. Everyone in Bing Zhou Watch knew Nian Yuexian, the Pass Leader of Blue Flame Mountain Pass. She was so powerful that she could protect an entire Pass on her own.
Upon learning that Lu Ye was from Blue Flame Mountain Pass, the young man was wary, but he wasn’t willing to leave just like that.
Lu Ye went on to say, “You’re in Blue Flame Mountain Pass’ territory now. Since she’s in my hands, I’ll handle this matter. Please go back right now.”

Lu Ye kept his weapons and said impassively, “If I wanted to kill you, you would’ve died long ago.”

She immediately stopped crying and broke into laughter. “I knew you wouldn’t kill me.”
Lu Ye took a look at her and fished out some clothes from his Storage Bag before tossing them at her to cover up her body. “What happened?”
Kitty Shen seemed to be still reeling from the shock. “You heard them. My companions and I were patrolling the area when we came across them. After a battle, my companions were all killed, and only I survived.”
Lu Ye frowned. “Is it because you’re a woman?”
There was no reason that the others were dead while Kitty Shen was still alive. After all, she wasn’t particularly powerful.
The reason her life was spared was that she was a female cultivator with a curvy figure and an alluring face. As Lu Ye recalled how tattered the woman’s clothes were, he figured out something.

Now, it seemed that Lu Ye already realised many things the moment he saw her, and he even came up with a way to deal with the situation. It went to show how quick-witted and responsive he was.
Kitty Shen was glad that she chanced upon Lu Ye in the end.
As Lu Ye fell deep in thought, he recalled what the Sect Master had said to him. Cultivation techniques were neither evil nor virtuous, but there were good or bad people.
