c1057: 48: All-Out Mobilization (Part 2)

Chapter 1057: Chapter 48: All-Out Mobilization (Part 2) She uses her beauty as a bargaining chip, while Duncan goes along with the plan to explore their relationship and gather intel about the Dark Monarch.

As for her being one of the countless lovers of the Dark Monarch, at this point, who cares about such things anymore?

When Duncan asks, it will only be to compare who is fiercer, him or the Dark Monarch.

The answer is undoubtedly clear.

Since the Dark Monarch was imprisoned and lashed by a mortal witch for a period, upon returning to the Bottomless Abyss, he favored pampering males or genderless beings even more.

"It’s the Zor Elves from City Menzoberranzan."

When Marita entered Zerata, she saw a group of tall elves hidden under cloaks. Though their dark skin was carefully concealed, it was still recognizable. This voluptuous Enchanting Mage seemed quite interested in Duncan and said softly, "They also have a caravan in Zerata."

"If you’re interested."

"I can help you find a Zor Elf slave."

Duncan was surprised and said, "There are Zor Elf slaves here too?"

Marita smiled slightly arrogantly and replied softly, "Of course, dear."

"The eldest daughters of failed families, or even the matriarchs, or Zor Elves who believe in Eilistraee."

"As long as one is willing to spend money, they are nothing but commodities."

The endearing words from an Enchanting Demon are akin to just saying hi; they can speak sweet nothings and coarse remarks, even calling BB is elementary.

Even the matriarchs can be sold?

If the Spider Goddess Queen found out, she would surely punish them.

Marita seemed to guess Duncan’s thoughts and said softly, "Of course, it’s only those insignificant little families; those favored by the Spider Queen wouldn’t be touched."

"Asas’s mother is the matriarch of a small family."

"After they failed in their struggle."

"Three sisters, along with the eldest and second daughters, all fell into the hands of the Dark Monarch."

Such secrets exist?

Duncan knew the struggle in the dark domain was brutal, but he hadn’t thought that even matriarchs could be sold as slaves. Even as a small family, they were an undeniable force on the Material Plane.

Marita knew some secrets, and she knew Asas was in contact with their group, speaking with slight contempt, "Asas’s mother’s sisters were the Dark Monarch’s female slaves."

"The rival family sold them at a high price."

"Later, it was only with the Dark Monarch’s secret support that the sisters revived their family’s strength."

A total of five Zor Elf female slaves.

For some reason, they fell into the Dark Monarch’s hands, and later it’s said he played one to death, but the exact reason was unclear. Zor Elf siblings backstabbing each other is traditional; killing a sister to become the matriarch or using beauty to charm the family’s male members is not uncommon, making them a chaotic and degenerate race.

Only one bore offspring, and that was Asas’s mother, reportedly an exceptionally beautiful Zor Elf Priest who was once loved by Spider Queen Rose.

Asas is clearly a bond of sorts.

His real backing isn’t from his father’s side but the Zor Elf assassins supported by his mother. Over the years, their family’s women mingled with demons, producing some half-Purgatory Zor Elf masters.

More intelligence that can be put to use.

Duncan looked contemplative; if this is the case, Asas might cause trouble for the Dark Monarch later.

But it’s unclear whether the Spider Goddess Queen would interfere.

If she interferes, it’s surely beneficial, but the Spider Queen is too dangerous; whenever she gets involved, the crazy lady surely wants to devour all.

The dark domain’s plot is quite a big chunk to chew, yet Duncan can’t handle it right now.

The mother-daughter drama is the most thrilling.

The love-hate story between Spider Queen Rose and Eilistraee; conquering it could gain loyal Zor Elves from the Good Camp or possibly even gain Drizzt.

During the conversation.

The group arrived at Galer Hashta, the largest of Zerata’s three districts, a city resembling a massive maze, complete with kiln gates. Creatures unfamiliar with the place are doomed to get lost here.

"A city spanning three dimensions, the Dark Monarch’s methods are quite impressive."

Duncan looked up toward the distant Silver Palace, its sixty-six shining Ivory Towers resembling wizard’s magic towers, making a full frontal assault particularly daunting; other Abyss Giants have never managed to get near the Silver Palace.

The only one who successfully infiltrated and penetrated was Meikanshute.

"If we successfully rescue the goddess Waukeen, then we’ll have a divine-level Saint Form as our tank."

"The Dark Monarch probably wouldn’t dare a head-on clash."

Waukeen was only trapped, not dead.

If Duncan could help her escape, the enraged Wealth Goddess alone could solo the Dark Monarch; a divine saint form isn’t a joke—it’s akin to a max-level profession (around level forty), at least an eight-star marked unit.

Glazest wouldn’t dare approach Wealth Goddess Waukeen’s saint form without a large escort of Balrog guards.

Meanwhile.

Within the majestic Silver Palace of Zerata, spanning three dimensions, a seductive and dazzling figure silently infiltrated. Beside the Dark Monarch, there were numerous enchanting demon attendants. During spare time, he gathered the enchanting demons for silver parties; he was actually not that interested, as he prefers conquering specific powerful targets.
