"Got it."
With a response, Lin Yi went back to grab his firefighting gear and then called Ding Fei. After learning the location of the incident, he immediately rushed over.
Since he had just left, and Lin Yi’s driving skills were excellent, he quickly caught up with the fire truck, ready to join them on the mission.
But once caught up, Lin Yi noticed something was amiss.
In front of the fire truck, there was a private car blocking the way. It was moving slowly, seriously affecting the response time.
Moreover, when the fire truck switched to another lane, the car in front immediately followed suit, preventing the fire truck from overtaking.
"Damn! What’s that private car in front doing!"
Ding Fei cursed, then dialed Lin Yi’s number.
"Lin Yi, go check it out and get that private car out of the way, quick!"
"Understood!"
Even without Ding Fei’s instruction, Lin Yi knew what to do. He maneuvered his car up front, driving parallel to the private car.
"Move your car aside and make way for the fire truck, or you’ll be held criminally accountable!"
Lin Yi’s voice was loud, but the windows of the private car remained closed, with no response.
Inside were two men in their thirties, smoking cigarettes, without even wearing seatbelts.
"Brother Ma, that guy next to us seems to be talking to us."
"What does it matter to him? I’m not giving way; it’s none of his business."
The speaker, named Ma Hongbo, usually did odd jobs. When he had money, he’d go out to earn some, but if not, he stayed home.
His favorite pastimes included drinking and chilling with his low-life buddies.
He didn’t mind until he had a drink; then he’d act like he was the boss of Zhong Hai.
"But the fire truck behind us is blocked by us; that’s not good, right?"
"These vehicles take advantage of their status to rush around the streets as they please. They don’t actually have any real issues," Ma Hongbo said.
"The people who give way to them are all idiots. I won’t pay them any mind."
"Hahaha, Brother Ma, you’re badass. Not everyone has such guts."
"This is nothing. I’ll just drive slowly, haha, and piss them off."
The two sat in the car, smoking, completely ignoring the fire truck behind them.
Lin Yi’s shouting had no effect at all.
Lin Yi frowned slightly, sensing he was dealing with unreasonable people today.
"Lin Yi, you’re down there. Quickly think of a way to get them to move," Ding Fei said on the phone.
"I understand."
With a response, Lin Yi decided not to reason anymore.
He rolled up the windows, yanked the steering wheel, and slammed into the private car beside him!
Bang!
The car’s front end hit the back seat area, and Lin Yi floored the accelerator, pushing the private car aside to clear the way for the fire truck.
"Whoa, that was badass!"
"So satisfying. They deserved it!"
Lin Yi’s actions fired up the crowd around them.
It was simply thrilling beyond belief.
"Brother Fei, you guys go ahead. I’ll handle things here and meet up with you later," Lin Yi said into his phone.
"Alright."
The fire truck passed through smoothly as the crew took a glance at the accident scene.
"Lin Yi sure has a temper; not just anyone could do what he did," Zhou Yi said.
"Young people are impulsive; it’s normal," Ding Fei said.
"Did you get their license plate number? People like this need to be dealt with seriously."
"I already sent it back. Someone will find them very soon," Ding Fei said.
"It’s a good thing he’s here. Otherwise, with our status, we couldn’t do anything even if we were angry," Liu Qingfeng said.
"Exactly. We’re here to protect the people’s property. If we destroy it, it changes everything."
"But these people are really infuriating. I wanted to give them a kick myself."
"Alright, enough talk. Get ready, we’re almost at the scene."
Meanwhile, Lin Yi had already gotten out of his car.
Ma Hongbo and his companion had also gotten out.
