2296: Bernard’s Invitation
The two suddenly quickened their pace and caught up with Bernard a few seconds later.
When Bernard felt someone patting his shoulder from behind, he turned around and saw two unfamiliar Asians.
“Who are you?”
“Please come with us; we want to ask you about some matters.”
“What a joke; stay away from me, please.”
Bernard looked at the two men with disgust, his eyes filled with disdain.

“Since you’re not cooperating, I’m sorry to say this.”
The two men from Sunrise Land didn’t waste any more words with Bernard and directly grabbed his arm, preparing to forcibly take him away.
“Asshole!”
Bernard cursed, and just at that moment, a black Mercedes-Benz van pulled up in front of him.
The car door opened, and four men got out, standing in front of Bernard.
Lin Yi and another person, who was standing not too far away, stopped in their tracks, not expecting Bernard’s bodyguards to appear suddenly.
Even though it was a small country, one shouldn’t take it lightly.
The Sunrise Landese man let go of Bernard’s hand, his expression turning very serious.
After exchanging a glance with his companion, they immediately sprang into action.
From Lin Yi’s perspective, this was a natural response; at this point, explanations were too weak.
Bernard, ever the gentleman, took Zhang Chaoyue to the side, watching the scene unfold with a smug look.
They thought that with their bodyguards’ skills, dealing with the two Asians would be easy.
But soon, he realized something was off.
These two men from Sunrise Land were tougher than he had imagined.
Not only did they not get defeated, but his four bodyguards were also getting the worse of it.
Lin Yi muttered from the shadows.
“These two seem like only E-level, probably just scouts.”

Soon, all four of Bernard’s bodyguards were beaten down, none able to stand up.
This scene shocked Bernard; it was nothing like what he had anticipated.
“Your bodyguards are no match for us; don’t struggle and just come with us.”
“This… this…”
Bernard kept moving backwards, unsure how to handle this sudden situation.
“Help!”
In his panic, Zhang Chaoyue shouted, instantly drawing Lin Yi and Qiu Yuluo’s attention.
“This is our cue to make a move; get ready.”
After a shout, the two of them, without hesitation, dashed towards Zhang Chaoyue and Bernard.
“When we make our move, take it easy and don’t let Bernard realize our true skill level.”
“Don’t worry, I’m aware.”
The two men from Sunrise Land also noticed Lin Yi and Qiu Yuluo and turned to look at them, their eyes filled with a fierce glint.
“This is between us; it doesn’t concern you, so don’t meddle.”
The Sunrise Landese man said in standard English, though it sounded a bit strange.
“You’re bullying someone in broad daylight and asking us to leave? That doesn’t seem right.”
Lin Yi said seriously, his expression slightly exaggerated as if he was a bystander intent on upholding justice.
“Look at those on the ground; I’ve knocked down all his bodyguards. You two coming over would just be sending yourselves to death. Scram!”
“One of them is from Huaxia, and we should help each other when we’re abroad. He called for help, so we definitely had to assist,” Lin Yi stated earnestly:
“And don’t underestimate us; we know Huaxia Kung Fu and are quite confident in handling you.”
The Sunrise Landese man’s lips curled into a scornful smile, as if he had heard a funny joke.
“Then stop the nonsense; you’ll pay for your actions.”
The Sunrise Landese man didn’t waste more words and charged at Lin Yi.
Lin Yi defended and attacked correspondingly; the two exchanged blows, making it hard to determine a winner for a while.
This scene greatly surprised the nearby Sunrise Landese woman.
