Both men shook hands and then returned to their seats.

“Mr. Li Zhi, have you taken care of everything with Zhong Hai?”
“I just received a call from below; Ma Dehong is dead, and there’s no chance of the serum’s formula leaking,” said Li Zhenquan calmly, taking a sip of tea:
“Our trade can proceed as normal.”
Zhou Guangyao thought for a moment; he always felt there was more to this than met the eye, yet he couldn’t find any fault.
“Are you sure Ma Dehong didn’t know anything?”
“I can guarantee with my reputation that Ma Dehong was unaware of the trade,” Li Zhenquan declared:
“The only reason we killed him was to prevent him from leaking details about the research facility. You can be rest assured about that.”

The next morning, when Ji Qingyan got up, she found that Lin Yi had already started making breakfast.
“You’re up so early?”
“I slept early yesterday, so I woke up early too,” Lin Yi said. “Go ahead and wash up; breakfast is all ready.”
