c986: Third Grade - Part 3

There's even one that is blind, which infuriated Mo Hua to no end.

Moreover, all these Monster Beasts are nimble and deceptively quick.

Mo Hua spent half the day but didn't get to swing his sword.

Not only that, because he provoked too many Monster Beasts, it created a commotion.

Many Monster Beasts fought amongst themselves to devour him.

But Mo Hua's movement technique was so agile that they couldn't reach him, instead they turned upon each other, fighting violently.

Monster Beasts have low intelligence and a strong killing instinct; once blood is seen in their skirmishes, they can't restrain their ferocity and tear into each other.

The small forest turned into chaos in an instant.

Monster Qi rampaged, roars shook the mountains, and the tumult spread far.

Even Xun Ziyou, sitting at the mountain gate, heard the rising and falling beastly roars.

Xun Ziyou calmly sipped his tea, initially not too concerned.

It's the Refining Demon Mountain, where Monster Beasts gather and Monster Hunting disciples roam; it's usual for beastly roars to echo distantly from the forests.

Xun Ziyou was accustomed to it and didn't pay much attention, but after a while, his heart suddenly skipped a beat.

Because he realized that today was different from usual.

Today Mo Hua was on the mountain!

An unusual occurrence always has a reason.

Mo Hua is that "reason."

Wherever he goes, an incident is likely to ensue.

Xun Ziyou is Mo Hua's "guardian", and he's quite experienced with such matters.

The forest held an eerie silence, while the beastly roars continued.

Xun Ziyou's heart was now on edge, even the excellent tea had lost its flavor.

Despite the fact that this commotion seemed insignificant, matters involving Mo Hua generally aren't simple.

Xun Ziyou hesitated for a long while, eventually setting his tea cup down, "Can't leave it, I need to take a look."

He couldn't continue drinking the tea.

He needed to go look, even if there's truly nothing going on, just seeing for himself would bring peace of mind.

So Xun Ziyou gathered his sleeves and stood up, his figure flickered, transforming into a streak of sword light, stepping atop the mountain canopy, and headed directly to the Refining Demon Mountain.

Midway, he steadied his aura, and activated a hidden Spiritual Artifact, quietly weaving among the forests, stealthily approaching the hilltop of the Monster Beast commotion.

Upon nearing the mountain, a pack of wolves, insects, tigers, and leopards came into view, densely packed, fervently battling, blood flowing everywhere.

Xun Ziyou's gaze sharpened, surveying the surroundings, finally locating Mo Hua on a nearby big tree.

At this moment, Mo Hua was perched on a large tree branch, watching the spectacle.

The Monster Beasts below were slaughtering each other fiercely, while he appeared quite leisurely up above.

Xun Ziyou let out a breath of relief, yet felt somewhat speechless.

He knew for certain that this chaos was undoubtedly stirred up by Mo Hua.

Now, as the Monster Beasts fought bloody and battered, he instead leisurely observed the battle from the sidelines.

Xun Ziyou shook his head.

But since he's come, he couldn't just leave.

Xun Ziyou didn't make a sound, nor reveal his presence, temporarily stood guard at the side.

After contemplating for a while, he felt this distance was not particularly safe, possibly detectable by Mo Hua, thus he quietly retreated further.

Meanwhile, atop the tree, Mo Hua stared at the chaotic Monster Beasts below, feeling quite helpless.

He didn't mean to create such a turmoil, but had no choice, these Monster Beasts wouldn't cooperate with him.

If there was a single Monster Beast, with large eyes to just glare back at him obediently, he would have already tested his sword, without causing such an uproar.

"I'll observe the changes first, then target an injured Monster Beast, bind it with a Formation, force it to meet my gaze..."

Mo Hua pondered for a moment, deeming it the only feasible solution.

Thus, he continued perched on the tree, quietly watching the Monster Beasts tearing each other apart, waiting for the situation to calm down before attempting to pick off the remnants.

Yet after a while, before the turmoil could settle, an even stronger surge of Monster Qi suddenly came from afar.

Mo Hua's expression shifted.

Even Xun Ziyou in the distance had his gaze narrow.

"A Third Grade... Monster Beast?"

Without allowing the two to ponder further, within mere seconds, a violent swirl of black sand rolled in, flying stones and dust, a strong stench of blood filled the air.

The surrounding Earth and Wood recoiled completely.
