"...I'll catch up..."
"...Eventually..."
---
The chase continued.
He grinned from ear to ear.
Finally.
Someone fast enough to be interesting.
The assassin darted across rooftops.
Andrew stayed below.
Running through the streets instead.
Walls.
Carts.
Stairs.
Nothing slowed him down.
The assassin kicked over another market stall.
Vegetables flew everywhere.
Andrew ran straight through it.
CRASH!
Wood shattered.
Merchants screamed.
"MY SHOP!"
"Sorry!"
Not sorry.
The assassin glanced back once.
Andrew noticed.
"...You looked."
"Mistake."
The distance between them shortened.
Barely.
But enough.
The assassin suddenly dropped from the rooftops.
Landed inside a narrow alley.
Andrew immediately followed.
The alley twisted.
Left.
Right.
Right again.
Then through another marketplace.
The assassin grabbed a stack of empty barrels.
Rolled them behind.
Andrew smashed straight through them.
BOOM!
"...You're gonna have to do better than that!"
The assassin vaulted over another fence.
Andrew simply broke the fence.
The city guard watching nearby sighed.
"...Again..."
The chase burst into another crowded street.
The assassin vanished into the crowd.
Andrew kept running.
