c623: 565: Synchronized Sniping_2

Hunter was the first to notice things weren't as simple as imagined.

"Target's inside his own building, we have a sniper positioned near the exit, but can't see inside the building, unable to spot the target."

"Boss, I think we're rushing into this. Sniper assassination isn't that simple. I'm also encountering problems over here. Jean is now enjoying himself in a private club; it's a private place, we can't get in, and it's too big. We can't locate the target from the perimeter."

Queen started to complain as well.

"Find their necessary exits or highways, set up your sniper positions and then inform me. I will tell you when to act. Pay attention to the messages, and as soon as you get the go-ahead, immediately set up your rifle and be ready to shoot. Remember, you only get one chance, there won't be a second shot!"

Song Heping's reply was the same to both of them.

Actually, Queen wasn't wrong.

A sniper setting out to assassinate someone would definitely go through a long time scoping out the area, observing to pin down the person's route and frequented spots, and then scouting out each location before deciding the point of action.

Song Heping skipped the whole scoping phase from the decision to assassinate to departure to approach, going straight to final preparations.

This was almost certain to fail.

And to achieve synchronized sniper shots under such conditions?

Even tougher!

Everyone followed Song Heping's orders out of respect, but once at the scene, they were taken aback.

Playing the game of sniper assassination was never like this; this wasn't just nightmare difficulty, it was hellish.

"Alright, I got it."

On the rooftop of a building in Victoria City, Song Heping put away his binoculars and sat back down next to the concrete barrier.

700 meters away was an upscale private club with only three floors.

Boyle was spending his time there right now; he's been there since the afternoon and has yet to come out.

There was some bad news: according to intel from Rubio's insider, Boyle liked to hang out here, coming three times a week.

He usually comes in at three in the afternoon, goes for a swim followed by an aromatic spa treatment in his room, then goes upstairs to dine, and eventually ends up boozing and drugging with his brothers in a private room till dawn before sleeping in and leaving only in the afternoon of the next day.

Waiting for this guy to come out would mean at least until dusk tomorrow.

But disregarding any external influences, just the prospect of waiting here for a solid dozen hours or more was implausible.

Because even if you wait for Boyle to come out, what kind of changes would occur with the other two targets?

Have they moved?

Have they changed locations?

Any changes from Lascano's side?

All unknowns.

"Old squad leader, they're right; I don't understand your plan either. How can we achieve synchronized sniping across three different locations? It's simply impossible!"

While packing the L115A3 sniper rifle, Song Heping said, "You'll find out soon enough."

After getting the sniper rifle ready, Song Heping set it up.

The sniper rifles were all calibrated; usually stored in a gun case, they'd be taken out, assembled with accessories, and immediately ready for shooting when needed.

After checking the view and seeing no issues, he finally took out his phone.

"Rubio, you can do now what I asked you to do before. Tell Spencer that if he wants to take over the boss's position, now is his chance. Have him call a meeting with the group's top management now, announce that he is officially taking over as the boss of the group, and if anyone disagrees, they can leave the Gulf Group."

Hearing this, Rubio on the other end couldn't help but ask, "Song, are you sure you want to go this big? If this fails, Spencer will never become the boss of the Gulf Group; he will be seen as a traitor, and the people of the Sanchez family won't let him off."

"To thrive amidst danger. If you trust me, then do as I say. Neither you nor Spencer need to act; I can wait. Let the chaotic firefight continue for a year or two, once you're all beaten down, I'll come to collect the bodies."

Song Heping sneered, "I can wait, but can you? Don't forget, there's Mad Dog Lascano. Don't you want to see him dead sooner? Otherwise, can you guarantee your survival over these one or two years?"

Rubio visibly began to struggle internally, taking three seconds to make a decision: "Fine, I'll pass on the message right away!"

"Make it fast, now's the time."

The two hung up the phone, and Song Heping looked up at the sky.

At this moment, evening had just set in, a crescent moon rose in the distance, stars faintly visible, and the city lights illuminated the beginning of a bustling night.

About fifteen minutes later.

Boyle, who had just left the SPA room in a bathrobe, walked out. He was heading to the changing room to get dressed and then proceed to the second-floor restaurant for a lavish dinner with his subordinates and confidants.

Lately, he'd been exceptionally good to his men, wining and dining them, and splurging on them frequently, promising all sorts of perks when he took over as boss.

To have people willing to risk their lives for him, of course, he needed to both entice and reward.

Occasionally, he was reminded of the significant threat posed by Lascano.

Theoretically, the Gulf Group should be united against the Los Zetas Organization, but the fight for the boss's position was irresistible – postpone it, and the opportunity might never come again.

Which is the priority, becoming boss or the threat?

What good is the group if you can't become the boss?

Boyle decided to vie for the boss's position and address the throne first.

He had strong forces and family backing; what was Spencer, to even dream of laying hands on the Santos family's assets?!

Just then, a young brother rushed over with a mobile phone: "Boss, Mr. Nora is on the line."

"Nora?"

Boyle was displeased.

Since Nora was one of the elders of the Sanchez Family, with a high seniority, though no longer involved in the group's operations, he had a substantial standing in the family. During this struggle for the boss position, he supported Boyle.

He had just been enjoying himself in the SPA room and was in good spirits; was it going to be another meeting called by those old ghosts in the group?

The mere thought irritated him.

However, considering Nora's temporary usefulness, he still took the phone with patience and pressed the call button.

"Uncle Nora, what's up? If it's a meeting, forget it, let's talk tomorrow. I'm having a blast at the club!"

Nora was cursing anxiously on the other side: "You brat! Are you still in the mood for the club? Spencer has rebelled! He's corralled the group's executives in the villa at Ramos Village, claiming he's holding an election meeting. If they don't agree to make him boss, he'll declare his departure from the group!"

"What?!"

Boyle's smile vanished.

His anger flared.

"He's lost his mind! What right does he have to call a meeting of the executives!? And dare to leave the group?! That's treason!"

Boyle was no longer in the mood to continue partying; he angrily quickened his stride toward the changing room.

"Uncle Nora, head to the villa in Ramos Village first; I'm in Victoria City, I'll get there in forty minutes! Before I arrive, you have to stop him!"

"Alright, I'll do my best, hurry!"

Entering the changing room, Boyle angrily ordered his men: "Tell everyone, tonight's plans are off, meet me at Kamos Village immediately! Also, have them summon all their brothers to Ramos as fast as possible!"
