c160: 146 Military Contract

Song Heping was awoken early the next morning by the ringing of a telephone.

He got up and saw that it was the cook calling.

"What's going on today? It's nine o'clock, and you still haven't gotten up?"

Normally, the cook woke up later than Song Heping, but today he was up earlier, and thus he began to tease Song Heping.

"Didn't I tell you last night? I bought fifty thousand US dollars worth of arms from Yusuf. I was watching over them at the warehouse until dawn before I came back."

Song Heping grabbed the mineral water beside the nightstand, twisted off the cap, and took a sip to relieve his dry mouth from just waking up.

"I'm almost at the Green Zone, you hurry up and wash up, and later we'll go to the US Army Command."

"The Command?"

Song Heping suddenly became fully awake.

"What are we doing there?"

"Signing a contract!" the cook said. "I've taken a business deal for our company."

"A military contract?"

Going to the US Army Command to sign a contract.

It was obviously a military contract.

This was really a big deal.

Ordinary companies really didn't have this capability.

Most small companies either picked up scraps thrown out by big companies or provided security services for private enterprises or media journalists.

Only big companies got to sign contracts directly with the US Army.

This was definitely a good thing for "Musician" Defense.

"Of course, it's a military contract, impressive right?" the cook boasted proudly. "I still have some connections here!"

That was just the cook's character.

A little starlight could make him shine with the brilliance of the sun.

Song Heping was used to it.

He was too lazy to ask what the deal was.

Based on his own assumptions, the contract amount shouldn't be big.

And he was certain about one thing, the task was definitely not easy.

By the time he was done washing up, the cook had arrived.

The two exchanged a few words and then drove to the US Army Command.

The Command was also inside the Green Zone, within the vicinity of the Republic Palace.

Before they even entered, they suddenly saw a car drive to the open space outside the gate, and several Americans got out of the car.

One of them looked somewhat familiar to Song Heping, but he couldn't remember where he had seen him before, he just felt a sense of familiarity.

That person also looked back at him, taking a few extra glances.

Alvin said to Wilson, "What are you looking at?"

The Wilson who was staring at Song Heping seemed a bit distracted. "Nothing..."

"Let's go, we have to meet the general."

"Okay."

"Do you know that Chinese person?"

"No..."

"You were staring at him, I thought you might have met before."

"No, I haven't... it's not that..."

Wilson himself was a bit confused, finally laughing it off and evading: "Maybe I've met him, not sure."

With that, the two went upstairs.

Outside, the cook also asked Song Heping, "Why were you staring at that American?"

Song Heping furrowed his brow, his mind racing to remember where he had seen that guy before.

Suddenly, a piece of insight flashed.

"Damn it..."

He seemed to recall something.

The physique of that guy...

Great Alp Mountain Area...

"Watcher"?
