The Stage was a warzone. The Two Year 2 Ice Affinity students were going all out. Ice spears clashed against ice walls. Frost mist covered everything. You could hear the cracks echo through the whole arena. It was an evenly matched fight. Neither of them was backing down.
All the students... Year 2 and few Year 1 students... watching the battle could feel the shockwaves of the intense battle happening on stage. The cold was biting. Even people in the back rows were rubbing their arms.
"These Ice Affinity Students fight better than the Fire Affinity students in our Year" Lynx was enjoying the fight better than he thought he would. It was evenly matched. He leaned back, arms behind his head, watching with interest.
He looked at his side and saw Ava staring at him, intensely. Not at the fight, at him.
"Is there something on my face?"
"U-uhm yeah, there is" Ava cheeks went red. Her voice was barely above a whisper.
"Where?... and why is your face getting red" Lynx frowned a little, actually confused.
"Just shut up, let me help you remove the dirt on your face" Ava leaned in and kissed Lynx on his cheeks. It was fast. Her lips were soft and cold from the arena air.
She quickly removed her face and whispered "there it’s all cleaned up". Her heart was pounding so loud she was sure he could hear it.
’So she just wanted a kiss?’ Lynx looked at her and laughed softly. A real laugh. "Alright."
Lynx turned around slowly and his gaze swept some students. Phones were up. Cameras flashing. "You are going online princess" Lynx said, voice dripping with tease.
"Congratulations, you just Kissed Lynx in Public, where an intense match is happening"
Ava turned too and saw some students with their phone cameras pointed at both of them. Her face burned. "Oh shit" she hissed. But then lifted her chin "At least I get to kiss you while some people could only dream of it". She said it defiantly, but her voice shook a little.
Lynx leaned closer. "Your ears are red too, you know that right?"
Ava immediately covered them with both hands. "Shut up!"
Lynx laughed again. Sometimes she would be shy, while sometimes she would just say her words bluntly not caring who was around her. He liked both versions.
"So you and Peter are really twins. Why are you even in here" Lynx gestured slowly towards the stands where they were. "with all these Year 1 students".
"Yeah, we’re twins. He might be a bit over protective but he means well... and I just want to be here, not up there" Ava shrugged, but her eyes kept flicking back to him.
"Okay princess" Lynx smiled.
"You know" She stared at him. Her blue eyes wide and honest, "you have a lot of fans for someone who doesn’t show up to his own Academy. The page I created for fun just keeps growing everyday, I never even thought I was going to meet you this soon." Her voice was quiet but there was awe in it.
"Maybe it was a beautiful coincidence I met you here" Lynx locked gaze at Ava, she was devastatingly beautiful and Lynx made up his mind.
He was going to make her his woman... not because of what he said to Peter, Peter could go and fuck himself... but she was fucking hot. The way the light hit her hair. The way she looked at him like he was the only person in the room. (Which he technically is).
Ava just kept getting Lost at Lynx Heterochromatic eyes. ’He looks so.. godly’ she thought. She kept drawing nearer to him. Completely forgetting about the fight, or the students recording them. The world narrowed down to just him.
Lynx reached out and flicked her forehead. Light and teasing. "Stop looking at me like that, princess. I might just eat you right here."
Ava rubbed her forehead and glared. "I wasn’t!" But her face was red again.
"U-uhm, hey... could you give me your number? Or follow me back on Instalite" Ava looked at him shyly, eyes big and face red.
"Sure, here."
Meanwhile while Lynx and Red Faced beautiful Ava are enjoying their moments few seats above them is where her brother Peter Musk and his friend Daniel are seated. The air around Peter was colder than the arena.
"Dude, your beautiful little twin sister just kissed Lynx and they exchanged numbers" Daniel said to Peter who was staring at Lynx with intense hateful eyes. His jaw was clenched so tight it hurt.
"Well, it’s no surprise, with a face that perfect. Even goddess shiva would fall for him, look at his cheekbones and his jaw. His eyes and skin are fucking glowing. His blessed mark is even different from ours, his uniform is different, his...." Daniel was rambling, half in awe.
"Shut the fuck up Daniel. Shut The Fuck Up, Just keep quiet" Peter shouted at Daniel, some students stared at them, but quickly turned back to the fight that was happening on stage. Peter’s hands were fists in his lap.
Peter continued watching them for sometime. His eyes never left Lynx. Before Teacher Selene’s voice echoed around the Arena, cutting through everything.

Students erupted in cheers. Especially girls students as Lynx name was called up. The whole stadium shook. Phones already streaming, they want to see how Lynx would fair in this match. Since Kol isn’t weak. Kol was top 10 in Year 2 Ice Affinity class.
Even Selene was looking forward to it. She wants to know if Lynx can really use his other Affinities flawlessly. Or he is just another overrated guy with Godly looks. "I’ll not judge him after the fight, since Rose seems so sure about him" she thought.
"I didn’t even notice those guys were done, I was just staring at you the whole time. It’s your fault for looking like this, I got carried away" Ava pouted at Lynx. She was flustered and it showed.
’This girl’. Lynx chuckled, "I also didn’t watch the fight, was busy getting lost in your beauty and besides I’m fighting now princess, you can watch my fight. It’s why this arena is filled up in the first place"
Ava face got red again. Deeper this time.
Lynx stopped walking and tapped the tip of her nose with one finger. "Told you. Red again. You’re gonna stay like this all day."
Ava swatted his hand away. "You’re so annoying!" But she was smiling.
"You’re good with words and you’re cocky. That’s a really lethal combo, you must have alot of girls" Ava said, trying to sound casual.
Lynx just shrugged. "I have some important women in my life, you could be one of them too" he walked to the stage before he glance back at her one more time. His eyes were serious for just a second.
"And I wasn’t being cocky, i was just being awfully truthful. Enjoy my win princess Ava" he calmly walked over to the stage. His back was straight.
Ava just kept replaying Lynx words. "I have some important women in my life, you could be one of them". She just snorted out loud. "He’s not denying the fact he has a woman. And it’s ’women’ not even ’woman’."
"But when i kissed him, I felt so good" She buried her red face in her hands for a second, then peeked through her fingers.
She looked at the stage where Lynx was standing now standing with Kol. Kol wasn’t that big, but he was scarred, and his face and posture was serious. But Lynx just stood there like he was waiting for a friend.
"Maybe I could be one of his women", she blushed at the thought. Her chest felt weird.
"Dude did you see that, she just looked at Lynx who’s over there and Blushed. Your sis is gone bro, gone". Daniel patted Peter.
Peter didn’t reply, he was just waiting to see how the fight would turn out.
