Chapter 55: Chapter 55: VIP Chapter 55: VIP
Some workers came, took the heavy bags from the floor where Lynx had dropped them and began walking, four of them, uniforms crisp and faces blank like they had seen this a hundred times before but never with a Year 2 kid.
The hallway was beautifully designed, polished white marble under his feet that reflected the ceiling lights like a mirror, gold lines running along the walls like veins and soft light coming from nowhere and everywhere so the whole place felt like it was breathing.
He doesn’t know if Year 2 boys building has something like this and he’s sure that they didn’t, Year 2 boys building was of course nice with the big rooms and all that. But Year 3 had it better and this Upper Side of the Year 3 boys building? this was something else entirely, this felt like a different place.
Every building and room in the Academy is beautiful and cool, with nice tech and all, holographic screens that float in the air, auto cleaning floors that shine even after you walk on them.
Soundproof walls so you can scream or fight or fuck and nobody would hear... well, they did hear in his case, just his roommate though.
The people living here In this Academy are all Blessed, Blessed are treasures of the world, treated as Kings by the people.
So every place or room is very cool... but this particular place, it very different, the air itself felt heavier, cleaner, like the oxygen was filtered and laced with denser mana.
This is some real VIP place, 20 rooms are in here, all single rooms and they are kinda far away from each other, not near like in hotels or hostels in some places where you can hear your neighbor cough, here you could scream and the next door wouldn’t hear you, each door was a fortress.
"How do people secure a room like this? Do a person need to beat someone already living in this area to take his room?" Lynx asked the Staff nearby, the one who came to welcome him at the elevator, not the other staffs who were carrying his bags.
The man was in his 40s, suit black and tailored, hair combed back, eyes that had seen too much and didn’t blink much.
"Well, the same rules applies everywhere in this Academy, if you want a single room, Challenge the person living there, if they accept and you beat the person, you takes his room and he takes yours, but if you looses, you won’t be able to challenge anyone for a single room, or any room at all for 2 years" the staff said, ever politely.
"But, when it’s comes to a VIP area the rules are shifted, only the Year 3s and Year 4s boys and girls building has VIP single rooms, and a Year 1 or Year 2 can’t challenge a Year 3 for a single room, or VIP room, they can’t win... Year 1 and 2 Students only challenge their fellow Yearmates who’s living in a single room".
The staff gestured down the hall with one hand, each door was spaced at least 10 meters apart, carved wood with that familiar blue orbs, no noise leaked out, no footsteps, just silence.
"Year 3s and 4s only get challenged by their fellow Year students, and at that, you have to be really strong to have a VIP room, really strong." he emphasized the last two words and looked Lynx up and down like he was measuring if the kid would survive a week in here.
Lynx noticed the man gaze at him but didn’t bother, "What about the Wealthy Kids?"
The staff’s mouth twitched, almost a smile but not quite, "Parents money doesn’t apply to any Blessed Academy, the students and Teachers here are all Blessed, Goddess Shiva chooses them, and in Aether Academy, you must have the strength to back up anything you do not some H-crystals. Though it’s also important."
"You seems to know much about this stuffs" Lynx said, watching the man, trying to read if he was lying.
"I’ve been working here for twenty years, I’ve seen different Blessed come and go..." his eyes got distant for a second, like he was remembering corpses and crowns and kids who thought they were untouchable until they weren’t.
"Twenty years is a Long time, and tell me more about this Goddess Shiva" Lynx pressed, he’d heard the name before and now he’s really curious about it.
They arrived at his room, Number 15, the door glowing faintly with that same blue orb thing that he’s seen on every door in this world, it pulsed like a heartbeat, once pressed it’ll scan the person automatically and the person inside would see who’s at the door before it even opens.
"Maybe some other time sir, but I can tell you’re different, the Aura I feel from you isn’t like any other Blessed Aura, enjoy your stay here, if you need anything, there’s a button inside, press it and the staffs will attend to you" the Staff bowed and left along with the other workers who had dropped his bags on the door, they didn’t look back.
Although he sealed off his Aura, it’s still there, but not heavy or bloodlust. Just enough. The moment they turned the corner, the hallway felt even quieter, like the academy itself was holding its breath. "Goddess Shiva".
Lynx smiled, a slow, dangerous smile that didn’t reach his eyes, "Of course I’m different, I have a God tier system in me, I’m the Chosen one of the Absolute God, of course I’m different" his voice echoed down the empty hall.
He opened the door... and stepped inside.
He was stunned.
The room was bigger than the old one he was in, and mind you the old one was big as fuck, an actual 3 in 1 room, but this was bigger than that, this was a palace kind of room.
He walked around, everything was neatly organized, it was like a mini house in one room, a bathroom with marble, high end computers with curved monitors, high end gaming devices with gloves and VR sets, this was way more flashy than the gaming device Daniel owns, Daniel would cry if he saw this.
[It seems that Caius outdid himself, everything here are the latest model of this world] his system pinged in his head, the voice satisfied.
Even his system confirmed it, and man does Cauis had taste, the games are already installed, he just had to select which one to play, icons glowing in the screen of the monitor, the top game in Aether Academy is there too, the game he helped Daniel dominated.
He ran a hand over the chair, leather that molded to him the second he touched it, cold then warm.
He stood up from the gaming chair and walked to the bed, and boy was it Massive, a fucking King Sized bed, black sheets, four pillows, silk duvet, you could fit 5 people and still have space to roll.
He used his wind Affinity to move his bags and loads inside and arranged them, a gust swirled, lifting duffels, clothes, shoes, and placing them where they belonged without him touching anything.
Normally it would take at least an hour considering the many stuffs he brought, but with his Affinity it took 10 minutes to arrange everything, and perfectly neat at that, wardrobe closed, shoes lined up by color. (He still doesn’t know why Isabel bought these for him).
The room looked even better now with his things here, and it’s so fucking clean, and chilly, with the ceiling of the room being the lights, yes, instead of lamps or bulbs or chandeliers the whole room ceiling was the light, a soft white glow that you could dim with your mind.
With an artifact that looked like a remote in his previous world, he could choose which part of the room light he would turn off, bathroom, desk, bed, gaming space, all separate.
It was fucking nice.
He exhaled, shoulders dropping for the first time in weeks, for the first time in weeks he felt... settled, like he could actually breathe without watching his back.
He took off his uniform and headed for the bathroom for a quick bath, marble tiles cold under his feet, rain shower that came from the ceiling, the water was hot and it beat down on his shoulders and washed the sweat and the blood and the tension out of him, steam filled the room until he couldn’t see his own hands.
For 10 minutes he just stood there, letting the heat wash off the fight from downstairs, the choking, the fear in those Year 3 eyes when they realized he wasn’t playing.
After some time, he came out, towel around his waist, hair dripping down his back, muscles still warm.
Nyx who has waited enough and couldn’t wait any longer materialized out of his necklace.
She just appeared, no sound, no warning, just air shifting.
Air in the room dropped 5 degrees, a faint scent of blood and honey and something ancient.
Lynx flinched a little, although he was really strong now, there are still some things he hasn’t gotten used to and this was one of them, demons popping out of jewelry like it’s nothing.
Nyx Veylstrath, her face perfection, still the most beautiful woman he has seen in this world, pale skin that glowed in the low light, black hair falling to her waist like ink, her crimson sigil on her forehead glowing faintly like a third eye, her silk robe that isn’t doing anything to hide her smooth skin, you could see the curve of her hip, the slope of her collarbone, the way her chest rose and fell.
Her beautiful red eyes were locked on his Heterochromatic blue and silver ones, hungry, waiting, desperate in a way that made his stomach flip.
Nyx waved her hand and her silk robe turned into something else, it was shorter and more revealing, black lace that barely covered anything, thigh high slit that showed too much skin, straps that did nothing.
"Took you long enough, My Pretty Human," she purred, her voice was low and rough, like she hadn’t spoken in days, "I was starting to think you forgot about me in there"
Lynx met her eyes, his throat was dry, his heart was beating too fast, "Never". He gazed at her full lips, naturally very red and full. Her now clothes didn’t hide anything. Her puffy pussy outline was visible, and it was already dripping.
Lynx gulped.
The room was quiet now, just the hum of the ceiling lights and the sound of water dripping in the bathroom, and Nyx standing there looking at him with that starving eyes like he was the only thing in the world.
