May 14th, Saturday.
Pei Qian and Li Yaling got out of the car in front of the DGE e-sports club.
After getting out, Li Yaling looked around, her face still showing some anticipation.
From her expression, it seemed she thought Mr. Pei had arranged the training base for these fitness athletes in a villa at Mingyun Manor.
Though a bit strange, it didn’t seem entirely unreasonable.
Pei Qian didn’t say much, just led Li Yaling inside.
It was now just past nine on Saturday morning. The entire hall was still empty, with only Zhang Yuan writing the arranged training schedule on a small whiteboard.
9:00 Wake up
9:00-10:00 Wash up, breakfast, arrive at the training room
10:00-12:00 Analysis, meetings, training
12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-13:30 Midday rest
13:30-14:00 Warm-up
14:00-17:30 Practice matches
17:30-19:00 Dinner, rest
23:00-24:00 Analysis, meetings
24:00-01:00 Wash up, collect phones, sleep
According to this schedule, the players had just finished washing up and had gone for breakfast.
This place wasn’t far from Slackin’ Internet Café’s Mingyun Manor branch. They could either order Slackin’ takeout or go to the café to eat.
Yaling looked at this schedule and frowned.
So unprofessional!
Especially seeing Zhang Yuan, who was writing the schedule, showing no signs of having trained before, Yaling found it even more absurd.
No wonder Mr. Pei wanted her to take over. The current coach must have been randomly grabbed from the street, right? So amateur! Wasn’t this wasting people’s time?
As for this schedule, there were even more problems.
First, the sleep schedule was problematic. To ensure good health, they should wake up at around 6 AM and sleep before 10 PM. Staying up so late would greatly affect training results!
Second, the schedule completely lacked dietary content. At the very least, it should specify how many meals per day and the exact portions for each meal, right?
Finally, the training time was way too long. Even among professional bodybuilders, there were significant differences. Some trained only three to four times a week, doing just a few simple exercises each time. Others, with higher pain tolerance, could train beyond exhaustion, with daily training times reaching eight or even ten hours.
But ultimately, how many hours one could train depended on each person’s physical condition. This one-size-fits-all schedule, making everyone train until midnight, was completely unscientific!
There were even practice matches—Yaling couldn’t understand what purpose practice matches served for bodybuilders. Were they competing to see who struck better poses?
Yaling had major objections to this schedule and thought that once she took over, she would need to change it all.
Zhang Yuan also saw Mr. Pei arrive and quickly put down his marker: “Mr. Pei, you’re here so early today?”
Pei Qian nodded, saying cheerfully: “Yes, I’ve brought your coach!”
Zhang Yuan clapped his hands happily: “Great, Mr. Pei! I’ve been getting impatient. I just copied a training schedule from the internet and was planning to have the players follow it. Now that the coach is here, I’m relieved. Let’s wait for the coach to make a new schedule!”
Pei Qian introduced them: “This is the manager and team leader, Zhang Yuan. This is the professional coach, Li Yaling.”
The two shook hands cordially. After shaking, Zhang Yuan looked at his hand with confusion.
This girl’s grip was really strong!
Today, Yaling was wearing long pants and a jacket. Due to her small frame, her muscular physique was hidden under her clothes. Combined with her sweet face, her true strength was completely undetectable.
Yaling had been a bit nervous, fearing that her coaching might not be good enough and would embarrass Mr. Pei. But seeing the current situation, she wasn’t worried at all—she would teach better than Team Leader Zhang.
The only thing she couldn’t understand was why there were so many computers in the living room.
Footsteps came from outside—the players had finished eating and were returning.
Pei Qian saw that the timing was perfect and hurriedly called all the players over.
“Coach Yaling, these are the ten players you’ll be training.”
Li Yaling froze, looking at these ten skinny, internet-addicted youths, then at the serious-faced Mr. Pei, finally realizing something had gone wrong.
These ten people weren’t even as fit as Zhang Yuan!
Although Zhang Yuan showed no signs of training, at least he appeared to have some muscle. But these ten were either as thin as monkeys or excessively flabby. Some were hunched over, others had protruding ribs. Forget muscles—they had significant postural issues.
These ten weren’t fitness athletes at all.
Connecting this with the computers in the living room, Yaling seemed to understand something.
On the other side, the ten internet-addicted youths stood in a row, also sizing up this new coach.
Many of them involuntarily lowered their heads, not daring to make eye contact.
So… so cute!
