’Is the bearing of a great doctor really built by acting tough?’
Yan Feifan couldn’t wrap his head around it, so he decided to drop it. He asked, "So, Director, you’re saying I shouldn’t take the initiative to resolve this."
"But what if Dr. Zhou’s side comes looking for an explanation? How should I respond?"
"Respond with force?"
Wang Chuan nodded. "Exactly. Forcefully. Bowing your head and apologizing is absolutely out of the question."
"Regarding the cause of the incident, you two weren’t in the wrong. You were just privately discussing your own analysis and judgment."
"It was their person who overreacted."
Wang Chuan added domineeringly, "And even if it blows up, don’t be afraid. To the Affiliated Hospital, one Dr. Zhou more or less makes no difference."
"But you... you are an indispensable treasure to the Affiliated Hospital..."
By the end of lunch, Yan Feifan, who hadn’t had a single drop of alcohol, felt a little dizzy, filled with the pleasant sensation that the Earth couldn’t possibly spin without him...
At 1:10 PM, Yan Feifan was waiting in an examination room at the Plastic Surgery Center when Mr. He Pengfei arrived, along with the "rebellious youth" he had mentioned.
The guy was about five-foot-seven and looked to be in his mid-twenties.
He had a buzz cut and a wiry frame. He was wearing a black tank top, loud, patterned shorts, and shuffling in flip-flops. On top of all that, he reeked of a potent mixture of alcohol and cigarettes.
Not only that, but his exposed shoulders, forearms, calves, neck, and chest were all covered in tattoos.
He even had tattoos on both of his temples.
As for the nose and lip rings He Pengfei had mentioned last time, he wasn’t wearing them, though he did have an earring in his left ear.
Yan Feifan did, however, spot the piercing holes on the side of the man’s nose and on his lower lip.
The man had his right hand stuffed in the pocket of his shorts, was jiggling his right foot nonstop, and was sizing up Yan Feifan with his head cocked to the side.
"Mr. He, *this* is the guy? He looks younger than me. Is he really as amazing as you say?"
The guy had barely finished speaking when He Pengfei kicked him in the ass.
"Stand up straight."
"Cui Bo, I’m warning you. Mr. Yan is your only chance to get that right hand of yours treated. So behave."
After scolding Cui Bo, He Pengfei turned to Yan Feifan with an apologetic smile. "Mr. Yan, please don’t be offended."
"This kid looks like a punk, but he’s good at heart and very loyal to his friends."
Yan Feifan chuckled lightly. "Mr. He, we doctors treat all our patients the same, regardless of what they’ve done in the past!"
He looked at Cui Bo and said, "Let me see your right hand."
Cui Bo hesitated.
He Pengfei shot him a glare and made a move to kick him again, and Cui Bo quickly pulled his right hand out of his pocket...
It was a hand shaped like a chicken’s claw, its long, slender fingers curled up as if clutching a goose egg.
Yan Feifan stepped forward and touched the hand, and was immediately startled.
"Did someone cripple your hand on purpose?"
