I sat up instantly the moment I saw the dazzling array of items displayed in front of me.
It was simply astounding.
The items were divided into three sections: the perverted items, the magic items, and finally the unique items.
Glancing through the unique items, I immediately understood why they were classified as unique.
They were simply overpowered.
Pausing time? Invisibility? Teleportation?
Every single one of them was terrifying.
It was no wonder each item cost a staggering 20 corruption points.
Taking a deep breath, after some internal struggle, I shifted my attention away from the unique items and returned to studying the perverted items while silently contemplating on which one to purchase.
All of them were similarly useful and just as described: perverted.
I could already envision various ways to use the perverted items in corrupting my daughters.
The thought almost made me chuckle darkly when my eyes caught something in the magic items section.

Were those people with systems just like me?
Or could it be that there were a certain group of humans with awakened abilities?
The thought was perplexing as it was terrifying.

I just felt that it was only right that among a group of normal, ordinary humans on earth, there would definitely be some abnormal ones.

I ran a hand through my hair, my breathing returning to its previous calmness.
Since I had not run into any awakened humans for the entire duration of my more than twenty years on this earth, that could only mean that they were unwilling to reveal themselves to the world.
As long as things continued progressing normally, the chances that I would encounter them were near zero.
As I began to rationalize things mentally, I understood that there was no need to feel pressured to grow stronger.
Or fearful that an awakened might knock on my door one day to eliminate me.
The thought was extremely relieving to me, and a faint smile could not help but play at the corner of my lips.

I shook my head and returned my attention back to the items listed, thinking of which one would be the most helpful.
I had 31 corruption points, along with a ten percent discount coupon.
In essence, if I were to purchase any of the normal items, it would cost me 9 points instead of the normal 10.
Still, I felt it would only be more reasonable to use the coupon on a unique item.
After all, that was a reduction of 2 corruption points instead of 1.
I mulled over it some more before coming to a decision mentally....
