âWhat are you thinking about? Did those low-level priests bully you again?â William asked casually.
Falren looked at him, then tilted his head. William bit his apple before locking eyes with Falren.
âThat doesnât bother me⌠where is Commander?â
âHeâs busy, talking to the other leaders.â
âWhat about Detri?â
âWhat about me?â Detri appeared from the armor tent, adjusting his shoulder.
âDid you feel something strange earlier?â
âStrange?â Detri and William repeated together. Detri shook his head.
âI seeâŚâ Falren pondered. Then his mind raced with concerns, leading his eyes back to Valencia. Her eyes were on them. Falrenâs eyes widened for a second.
Valencia walked toward them with Adon. William and Detri saw her and quickly bowed.
âYour Grace,â they called unisonly.
âIâm hungryâŚâ she said, hiding her lower lip. Everyone dropped their jaw and looked at her. âKael said to eat⌠but I donât know where to go.â
Adonâs arms fell lifelessly.
âHe left without ordering them to bring you food⌠I see. Heâs a scumbag for leaving his wife in the tent all dayâŚâ Adon whispered.
William nodded.
âYes⌠a total selfish bastard.â
Valencia chuckled nervously, scratching her head.
âItâs not that⌠I was asleep for a while.â
âStillâŚâ Adon added, squinting her eyes.
They led her to the kitchen, sitting beside her to make sure that she ate everything on the plate. As they ate, Falren watched Valencia. Is it just me⌠or is there an enormous amount of shadow around her? From his vision, a floating purple shadow flowed around her.
Vrastos smirked through his shadow form as he stared at Falren.
âPeek-a-boo, young priest⌠he has enough faith to be called a top-tier believer, Athesia.â
Athesia looked at Falren through Vrastosâ portal.
âOh, please⌠he definitely despises me for what happens to him,â Athesia revealed, looking away.
Vrastos laughed as his hand slid under Valenciaâs chin.
âLittle priest has a grudge... a very demonic sort of grudge."
