"Do you know about Wanda's movements yesterday?"
"Yes, I contacted the local people and dug around for information."
"Anything concrete?"
"Yes, there are strong evidence-backed sightings of her, but nothing else.
No one agrees to have seen anybody else.
She was simply there and then gone."
"Do you know where Jenifer's people are?"
Nadia's forehead knitted, and she peeked up at me.
"Yes, they are hanging around waiting for my response."
"Let's go."
Nadia looked at me, surprised as I stood, her eyes looking around as she followed me in confusion.
"Where are we going?" She asked when she saw I was heading to exit the hospital.
"Do we have a car?"
Taking the lead and bringing me to a black jeep, I had Nadia take the wheel and drive us out of the hospital's parking lot.
"We're going to find who killed Wanda."
"How?"
"We'll interrogate Jennifer's men."
Nadia's lips tightened in a frown, but she said nothing.
Kerrville wasn't a large metropolis, so in a few minutes we reached our destination.
Nadia took me to a hotel, this one different from where I had previously stayed.
The hotel was a little isolated but was quite standard. It had a fence around it, and we had to show our ID at the security before being let in.

My Psion leaving my mind, I got a reply from the earth, the world stretching 2 kilometres around me appearing in my head.
"You can wait here."
I moved to open the door, but Nadia hastily spoke.
"You understand the people who work for Jennifer will be state agents, right? If you do things wrongly, it could escalate into a state incident."
"I doubt the government sanctions assassinations on innocent drivers."
"You speak like they are guilty."
"Seems you've already made up your mind on their offer.
