Shi Lin’s face twitched. This man was actually able to endure his consciousness attack. Clearly, he was not as strong as a mere sequence powerhouse. While Shi Lin could not be touched by the laws of the universe, the man before him was simply not even using sequence particles at all.
Was this the caliber of the experts who belonged to the Grandverse Manor? Could any one of them fight against Shi Lin on equal footing? He was supposed to be the most powerful consciousness cultivator in the entire Spirit Nidus.
A cold light glinted in Shi Lin’s eyes. No matter how wary he might be of Seraph Lu, it was impossible to avoid the current battle.
Progenitor Xi did not get involved. Instead, she was focused on a specific corner of the Consciousness Domain.
At the same time, Old Tao had finally returned to the Roaming South Realm.
While the Phantom Reach had been virtually annihilated, Qianmen Feidu still lived, which meant that the Phantom Reach still existed.
Old Tao looked at the Phantom Reach’s headquarters. "I am here at the order of Seraph Lu to gather resources. Don’t hold back. Just hand over a few trillion spirit seeds so that I am able to return with something. After all, we’re all on the same side."
Countless resentful eyes locked onto Old Tao from within the headquarters. Traitor!
Ce Wangtian had not yet entered the Heavencraft Domain, as he had been stopped at the entrance.
"Go back. Do you think that just anyone is allowed to enter the Heavencraft Domain?" A man stood outside the entrance to the domain and gave Ce Wangtian a contemptuous glance. "Forget about a sequence powerhouse—even if an Ortuser arrived, they would still need to first send word."
Ce Wangtian chuckled. Perched on his shoulder, Astral Anura’s eyes flared. Was this guy really so brave? Did he actually have the courage to offend the Grandverse Manor after all that had happened?
"Then go ahead and announce that Ce Wangtian of the Grandverse Manor is here to pay a visit."
The man sneered. "You want to threaten me with the Grandverse Manor? Let me tell you something—the Heavencraft Domain is not ruled by any Seraph! We take our orders directly from the Ascendant Hall. As for your Grandverse Manor? None of you are welcome here."
Ce Wangtian nodded. "Understood."
"Then get lost."
"Brat, have you ever eaten boogers?"
"What? Ugh!"
"I am Ce Wangtian! I am carrying out Seraph Lu's order to gather resources! The Heavencraft Domain is to turn over 100 trillion spirit seeds, or else I'll tear this place apart here and now!" Ce Wangtian slapped his slipper down violently, the impact shaking the entire Heavencraft Domain.
Deep within the domain, a chubby figure trembled in fear. The Grandverse Manor?
"Who dares to behave so recklessly?" A furious voice echoed out as spirit threads shot through outer space, straight for Ce Wangtian.
He slapped his slipper down onto the ground of the Heavencraft Domain again, shaking the entire domain. The ground broke apart, and the cracks spread far into the distance. At that moment, the spirit threads landed, each one as sharp as a blade. Ce Wangtian clenched his slipper and swung it sideways.
There was a loud smack, and the spirit threads bent, but not without leaving a deep mark on the slipper.
Ce Wangtian's eyes went wide. He was facing an Ortuser.
Countless eyes in the Heavencraft Domain turned to look in Ce Wangtian’s direction. An old man rose high into space, spirit threads dancing about him. A cold, vicious light radiated from his eyes. "The Grandverse Manor dares to act so brazenly in my Heavencraft Domain?"
Ce Wangtian sneered. "Old man, have you heard nothing from the outside world?"
"I know that the Grandverse Manor is not to be trifled with, but my Heavencraft Domain fears nothing. Begone!" The elder sent a vast number of spirit threads flying towards Ce Wangtian. Each thread was a powerful attack on its own, and Ce Wangtian grew wary. It was at this moment that he understood why Lu Yin had sent Astral Anura along.
"Your turn."
The toad rolled his eyes as he leaped into the air. His golden body changed to take on a multicolored hue. He held his steel fork as a necklace of skulls appeared around his neck, and he screamed, "Ah! Old man, away with you!"
The steel fork stabbed into the countless spirit threads. The fork twisted wildly, coiling the threads around the tines before he yanked on them hard.
The old man was nearly pulled over, and he looked shaken by the exchange. "A Dukkhan? A beast-form Spirit Rebirth?"
"Ancestor, that’s the toad that follows Seraph Lu!" someone called out.
The old man was instantly put on edge. He remembered that, when Seraph Lu had roamed about the Spirit Nidus, he had been accompanied by three astral beasts. Two had carried the sedan, while one had sat on his shoulder. This toad had been that beast.
It was rumored that the toad had killed a powerful expert from the Primal Beastland who had once competed for the title of Seraph. That powerhouse had been a Dukkhan.
“All who belong to the Heavencraft Domain, Spirit Threads Rule the World!”
“Yes, Ancestor!” Countless voices rang out, and streams of spirit threads rose into space from every part of the Heavencraft Domain. They moved together to form a sphere that grew larger and larger. The sphere moved to drive Astral Anura and Ce Wangtian away from the Heavencraft Domain.
Astral Anura clenched his steel fork, and fiercely thrust it forward, only for it to fail to pierce the spirit threads.
A chessboard spread out from Ce Wangtian, and everything became pieces on his astral chessboard. Those pieces constantly were thrown at the spirit threads, only to be forced back. The Progenitor was pushed back, step by step. Were all of their efforts for nothing?
The Heavencraft Domain produced the spirit threads that connected the thirty-six domains of the Spirit Nidus. One could only imagine just how many spirit threads were in the domain.
The thirty-six domains had been connected long, long ago. At present, no one knew just how many spirit threads were in the Heavencraft Domain. It was because of those spirit threads that the Heavencraft Domain feared nothing and no one and why they were even willing to directly confront a Seraph. They were confident in their abilities, and there was a reason one of the Seven Seraphs had ever dared to attack the Heavencraft Domain.
The old man watched on with cold eyes as Ce Wangtian and Astral Anura were forced back. “Go back and tell that Seraph Lu of yours that, while I can’t be bothered with his mischief, he cannot provoke my Heavencraft Domain. Leave!”
Ce Wangtian and Astral Anura had been forced away, and after retreating, they exchanged glances.
“You’re utterly useless!”
“You worthless piece of trash!”
They both spoke at nearly the same time while glaring fiercely at each other.
“What are we supposed to do? We can’t go back like this.”
“That would be humiliating.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Let’s find some help.”
“Who should we approach?”
“I know someone who should be able to beat up the Heavencraft Domain.”
