c3368: Who Is The Traitor?

If Wei Nu was helping the Tianyuan Megaverse set an ambush for the Spirit Nidus’s powerhouses, then she should have already taken action.

But if not that, then what was her real goal?

Lu Yin remained extremely wary of Wei Nu. She had to have her own agenda.

The River of Aeons continued to flow by.

Chu Yi and others surrounded the two Seraphs, but with the protection of their sequence bases, it would not be easy to defeat them.

There were a seemingly infinite sea of sequence particles, and as long as the two Seraphs had control of the sequence bases, there was even a risk that Lu Yin and the others might suffer from a counterattack.

As for Blackless God, he was managing to hold his ground against the ancestor of the super giants, who felt incredibly frustrated. He was a powerful Ortuser, but he could not find a way to capture Blackless God.

All Seven Skygods had fought during the final battle at the Immemorial Citadel, but the super giant had not paid any of them much attention. While powerful, he had not focused on anyone beneath the Origin realm.

Who could have imagined that Blackless God would prove to be such a slippery opponent? Was the super giant really unable to pin the Skygod down at all? At this point, asking for help would be embarrassing.

Blackless God kept looking for a chance to escape. His consciousness was his final trump card, but it was certainly enough for him to leave.

The Mirari Realm had never hosted such a grand battle before. Near the River of Aeons, the stone monument that Progenitor Xi had put up had already been shattered long ago.

Lu Yin glanced at the two Seraphs, who were still both protected by Bao Qi’s silent power. Lu Yin wiped the corner of his mouth. Bao Qi’s power seemed to be endless and unyielding. Waiting would accomplish nothing.

Since that was the case, Lu Yin would simply break one of them first.

Lu Yin spoke to Chu Yi and Lu Yuan, sharing his plan.

The two older men were briefly taken aback, and then they exchanged glances, surprised by the plan.

The round-faced old man used the Impression Realm to surround himself, combining the sequence base with the silent power to form an impenetrable defense.

"Bao Qi, how much longer can you hold on for?"

"My sound is an innate gift that is enhanced by my sequence technique and then merged with a sequence base. Even so, on my own, there would be too much pressure to last for very long. But with your Impression Realm and golden pen, we can outlast them," Bao Qi replied.

The old man was reassured by this reply. "We won’t leave this Mirari Realm. As long as we can hold out for a bit, our reinforcements will arrive. Then, these people will have no choice but to leave."

Bao Qi grew puzzled. "If time is frozen in the Mirari Realm, then why would they have to leave?"

The old man sneered. "Whenever a living creature enters the Mirari Realm, it synchronizes with the outside universe at that time. They won’t be willing to take such a gamble. If they lose, the Tianyuan Megaverse is as good as gone. ℞Å₦ÓꞖĚŜ

"Nobody knows how much time has passed outside of this place, just like how they can’t guess when or where the next person to visit this place will come from. They won’t be able to stay here for long. The Mirari Realm will eventually belong to us."

The old man then turned to Lu Yin. "Young man, why don’t we see how long you can stay here for?"

Lu Yin looked at the old man with a growing smirk. "Longer than you."

The old man was taken aback, and he immediately felt that was wrong.

Suddenly, beyond the field of the silent power, Chu Yi, Lu Yuan, Progenitor Chen, and Progenitor Ku all simultaneously split into two. Moving at incredible speeds, each of them attacked the field of silent power.

The round-faced old man was stunned. "Impossible!"

Within the Impression Realm, reality and impression could be reversed. This meant that, when an impression was injured, those injuries would be passed along to the genuine person. This seemed to be a powerful ability, and it certainly was. After all, even Chu Yi was wary of the sequence base.

However, there was a major flaw to this ability. The impressions were vague and not under the control of whoever wielded the sequence base.

When first seeing another person, one would initially have different impressions, depending on if they saw the person from the front or the side. But in time, these differences would be smoothed out.

The Impression Realm operated on similar principles.

The Law of Impression relied on a cultivator’s perception. Chu Yi and the others had formed two images by moving at a high speed; one image was of their front, and the other of their sides. To the Impression Realm, these were two different impressions.

While the Impression Realm could deal with multiple opponents, and the old man could also resolve the issue of multiple impressions of each person appearing, there would still be a delay. While he attacked the frontal impressions, Chu Yi and the others would attack the old man from the side, or vice versa.

This was the Impression Realm’s flaw.

The truth was that this was really not much of a flaw. If Chu Yi and the others were not as powerful, then the old man could easily injure or kill them, regardless of the angle. This detail of the sequence base only became a flaw when the strength of its wielder was nearly equal to their opponents.

As the old man saw Chu Yi and the others split into multiple images, his heart dropped. He hurriedly tried to counterattack.

However, Chu Yi and Lu Yuan were both Ortusers, and even Progenitor Chen and Progenitor Ku were too strong to be easily dealt with. The old man was not strong enough to defeat his opponents on his own.

Everyone’s attacks landed on the field of silent power simultaneously.

Bao Qi felt a sudden spike in pressure. His only option was to increase the amount of power the Cauldron Bell was producing, but that drastically increased his own energy consumption.

"What’s going on?" Bao Qi shouted.

The old man gritted his teeth. “Someone has betrayed our Spirit Nidus! They know about the Impression Realm’s flaw!”

"Who was it?"

The old man glared at Lu Yin. The young man’s confident expression served to confirm the old man’s suspicions that there was a traitor. While the sequence base’s flaw could have been discovered naturally, Lu Yin’s smirk convinced the Seraph that they had been betrayed.

By who? Who could the traitor be?

Palace Master Yao? That was impossible, as she did not know about the Impression Realm’s flaw.

Tian Ci? That was also impossible, as there was no way for him to know about it either.

Aside from those two, who else was there?

Suddenly, a name occurred to the Seraph: Yuan Qi.

He turned to Lu Yin. “You have Yuan Qi, don’t you?”

Lu Yin’s eyes turned cold. “Take a guess.”
