c3474: Heavens Blade

Lu Yin looked over, his eyes glinting sharply. “You didn’t act earlier, but you want to now?”

“This battle has already gone on long enough. The Consciousness Domain is on the verge of collapse. If you strike again, not only will this domain be destroyed, but so will I. I am asking you, Third Boss, to show some leniency,” Wu Wei bluntly replied.

Lu Yin chuckled. “I can’t give you that.”

At this moment, the Consciousness Domain held two things that greatly appealed to Lu Yin: the strange karma, and Wu Wei.

Lu Yin could devour Wu Wei’s consciousness. If he did so, then the only ones who might be able to surpass Lu Yin in terms of consciousness would be those legendary Cosmic-realm conscients. Lu Yin was on the verge of becoming invincible in the realm of consciousness.

It was unbelievably tempting.

Even if Wu Wei decided not to take any action, Lu Yin had already intended to find a way to force the conscient’s hand.

After all, the High Seraph was not able to intervene. The Spirit Nidus was Lu Yin’s playground, and how many of the Seven Seraphs would do anything at all?

At a time like this, Lu Yin needed to gain as much strength as possible.

“Third Boss, are you truly unwilling to stop?” Wu Wei’s voice dropped even lower.

Lu Yin nonchalantly replied, “I heard that you were captured by Qi Zun. Not even he was even my match, so what gives you the confidence to threaten me?”

Wu Wei sneered. “Qi Zun? Him? Capture me? You underestimate the Thirteen Luminaries!”

All across the Consciousness Domain, countless cultivators were startled. Had Wu Wei not been captured by Qi Zun?

Even the members of the Qi family were shocked. This news was as harsh a blow to them as Qi Zun’s capture.

For years, the Qi family’s greatest pride had been the fact that Qi Zun had captured Wu Wei. That was their family’s crowning glory and the source of their faith. Had it been nothing but a lie?

Outside the Consciousness Domain, everyone watching was similarly taken aback. Had the story been false?

Old Tao and Palace Master Yao exchanged glances. This was beyond even their expectations. The entire Spirit Nidus believed that Wu Wei had been captured by Qi Zun. That belief was the foundation of Qi Zun’s status as the greatest ever consciousness cultivator in the Spirit Nidus. What was Wu Wei implying?

Wu Wei’s voice echoed through the silence of the Consciousness Domain. “According to the final outcome, that’s not wrong. I was indeed brought to the Spirit Nidus by Qi Zun.

“However, before he captured me, I was already gravely injured. More than half my consciousness had been depleted. It took me many years here in the Spirit Nidus to recover. How else do you think he could have captured me? Ridiculous!”

Lu Yin’s eyes narrowed. “Then where is your confidence coming from? Your Grand Stripping Heavenly Disk?”

Wu Wei replied, “Third Boss, the Thirteen Luminaries are the rulers of the Consciousness Megaverse, with a status equal to the Spirit Nidus’s Seven Seraphs. Do you really believe us to be so simple?

“I’ve since recovered, and the Consciousness Domain has been reduced to its current state. The Qi family has been destroyed, meaning that you have achieved your goal. Please leave. If we fight again, neither of us can know how things will turn out.”

Lu Yin’s eyes blazed with the desire to fight. “Hearing you say that just makes me even more eager to test the power of one of the Thirteen Luminaries.”

“Third Boss, do you truly wish to fall here in the Consciousness Domain?”

“Because of you? You aren’t capable of that.”

Within Lu Yin’s sight, Wu Wei’s consciousness violently erupted and surged towards him.

His star of consciousness rotated as he unleashed a counterattack.

The collision of two Universe-realm consciousnesses exploded within the Consciousness Domain once again.

The impact left the remaining cultivators still in the domain stunned.

Shi Lin shouted, “Third Boss, please stop! The Qi family has been destroyed! Why drag down the entire Yijing?”

Lu Yin completely ignored the man. Wu Wei’s consciousness was just as vast as Lu Yin’s. However, while it was vast and unfathomable, it was not as condensed and solid as Qi Zun’s.

If the clash of consciousness between Lu Yin and Qi Zun was like a river crashing into a rock, then Lu Yin’s clash with Wu Wei was like a river against a river. Or perhaps, it might be more accurate to call it an ocean crashing into another ocean.

The effects of the collision were not limited to just the Consciousness Domain, as they spread past the domain, warping the space beyond. The impacted area kept growing and expanding wildly.

Again and again, everyone was forced to retreat.

Qi Zun had relied on the Everstone sequence technique to restrict their clash of consciousness from spreading beyond a specific range, but Lu Yin and Wu Wei had no such restraint. They freely unleashed their consciousness in a contest of pure quantity.

Around the Consciousness Domain, the consciousness had formed a maelstrom that swept across the entire domain.

Outsiders were no longer able to see what was happening inside the Consciousness Domain.

The Grand Stripping Heavenly Disk reappeared, larger and more solid than before.

As one of the Thirteen Luminaries, how could Wu Wei’s technique have been broken by Lu Yin’s Setting Sun?

The conscient’s earlier actions had merely been because of a commitment, but his true task was to protect the Consciousness Domain, not the Qi family.

With the Qi family destroyed and Lu Yin still attacking, Wu Wei had no choice but to fight at full strength.

The Grand Stripping Heavenly Disk pulled and ground away at Lu Yin’s consciousness.

Lu Yin released Verdant Eternity. No matter how much pressure he was forced to endure, there were no signs of his consciousness being depleted.

The Grand Stripping Heavenly Disk was trapped within Verdant Eternity, and it was suddenly subjected to unimaginable pressure by Lu Yin’s consciousness. Suddenly, it shattered with a roar.

However, the shattered disk formed into vicious blades of consciousness that slashed out in all directions.

Lu Yin remained stable on the ground. He was now the eye of the storm of consciousness as he reached out.

The blades all shattered in unison, but they simply transformed back into raw consciousness that then reformed the Grand Stripping Heavenly Disk, much to Lu Yin’s surprise. So that’s how it is.

Wu Wei’s Grand Stripping Heavenly Disk was not a particularly powerful technique, but it was similar to Verdant Eternity in that it could be reformed without limits.

Verdant Eternity ensured that Lu Yin did not consume any energy, while the Grand Stripping Heavenly Disk allowed Wu Wei to constantly reform its consciousness. While the technique lacked Verdant Eternity’s ability and the conscient still had to consume some consciousness, its resilience was still remarkable.

It would not be easy to defeat the Grand Stripping Heavenly Disk with Verdant Eternity, and it would also be extremely time consuming.
