c4150: Hello, Bug

Far away, Luo Chan continuously teleported about until it found the Immortal beast.

The monster had not gone very far. It was too vengeful a creature, and it had been hiding just beyond the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm.

It was a good thing that it had not fled, as it was the perfect tool to destroy the Tianyuan.

Luo Chan could not actually understand it; given the number of Immortals in the human civilization, why had they not killed the beast? Were they unable to find it?

The bug approached the monster with practiced ease. Before, it had needed the humanoid Verdant Sage Immortals, as well as others, to support it in order to teleport the Immortal monster, but that was no longer necessary. A small bit of green stalk appeared beneath Luo Chan before creeping forward.

Inside a meteorite, the Immortal beast had shrunk down substantially in order to nurse its wounds. It occasionally turned its eye to stare in the direction of the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm. Only one of its eyes remained, and yet the hatred in it could not be erased.

It felt a great deal of hatred: towards the Tri-Azure Sword Intent that had once severed pieces of its body, towards the civilization before it, towards the insects, and even towards everything.

However, it needed to wait for the right opportunity.

Luo Chan suddenly appeared, and the tiny segment of green stalk flared with light, momentarily freezing the Immortal beast in place. That one instant was all that Luo Chan needed. However, the bug had not expected someone else to need a mere moment to take action: Greater Sancte Blood Tower.

The moment the green stalk appeared, Blood Tower did as well.

Just as Luo Chan was about to teleport the Immortal beast away, a Blood Tower surrounded the bug, making escape impossible.

Luo Chan was aghast. What is this?

The Immortal beast let out a roar. An enemy had appeared.

“Shut up!” Scarlet light blazed with enough force to shake the cosmos. It took on the shape of a blood-red saber that slammed into the beast’s hide, forcing it down.

The Immortal monster was terrified. This was a truly powerful being.

Lifeforce surged across the monster’s body as its heart pounded. Thump, thump, thump, thump.

Greater Sancte Blood Tower smirked. “Just as Lu Yin said. Your tricks were seen through long ago. You’ve been used by us, and even by mere bugs. For an Immortal to sink so low is truly a disgrace.”

With that, he stepped forward, appearing inside his Blood Tower. When his eyes fell upon Luo Chan, the man’s smile widened. “Caught you, little bug.”

Luo Chan was terrified. They had been completely outmaneuvered by this unknown Immortal.

Roar!

The Immortal beast started to grow once more in an attempt to break free from the Blood Tower.

The Greater Sancte opened a hand as a long saber took form, which he then swung down upon the beast. “Did you have fun while I was gone? You now get to keep me company.”

Ssss.

The beast was split cleanly in two, and the blood channel along the back of the blade instantly filled a third of the way. The saber’s icy gleam reflected the Greater Sancte Blood Tower’s bloodthirsty face, driving Luo Chan into utter despair.

This was a human who could not be provoked.

Of the Nine Odysseys Megaverse’s Greater Sancti, Green Lotus was considered first in strength, while Blood Tower was regarded as the second. If not for Greater Sancte Awe Gate fusing with Mi Jin’s spirit seed with the Nirvana Tree Path, she would still be considered weaker than Blood Tower. Even so, before accepting Seed Transfusion, Awe Gate had still been able to fight the two Immortal Verdant Sages at once, which indicated how high Greater Sancte Blood Tower’s strength was.

Sensing Greater Sancte Blood Tower’s bloodlust and primal desire to fight, Luo Chan’s heart grew cold. This man was even more terrifying than Awe Gate.

Still, this was not the time to dwell on such a thing. Master, we’ve walked into a trap!

At the same time, the Immortal Lord peered into the distance while suffering from a rising sense of unease. Luo Chan had not returned even though the Immortal Lord’s power had been used. Something had happened.

They turned and attacked the Allsense Megaverse, all hesitation vanishing. No matter what might have happened, they would eliminate Lu Yin first.

If Luo Chan was fine, this was the ideal moment to act. If not, then they would trade Lu Yin’s life for Luo Chan’s.

The human Immortals were all in the Nine Odysseys Megaverse and thus could not help.

Even the human karmic expert could not help Lu Yin when he was beyond the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm.

Within the Allsense Megaverse, Lu Yin let out a breath as he watched a green color spread across the Aevum Inch. Immortal Lord, is that you?

Mo Bai was thrilled. Master has finally arrived!

Standing beside her, Luo Yan settled a hand on her shoulder.

Disgust erupted within Mo Bai as she looked at Luo Yan. However, instead of the expected infatuation, she found that he was smiling at her. Worse yet, it was a smile that expressed scorn and a pure loathing that mirrored her own.

How could he feel disgust? He hates me? Impossible. He clearly cares for me.

“Hello, bug.”

From outside of the megaverse, the green stalk moved closer. Its radiance filled the cosmos as green beams tore through the void to skewer Lu Yin.

Lu Yin just showed a small smile. “Senior, it looks like you’re about to be busy.”

Master Qing Cao stepped in front of the younger man, staring up at the sky, his mind in chaos. “You used this old man.”

“Don’t say it like that, Senior. You’re also protecting your own people. There are quite a few people in these two batches from the Spirit Nidus, just as I promised,” Lu Yin answered with a smile.

Master Qing Cao shook his head. “I am no match for this Immortal Lord, and I may not be able to save you. You must seek your own luck.”

With that, grass sprouted from underfoot. It surged upwards, spreading out toward the green light.

Outside the Allsense Megaverse, the Immortal Lord was startled by the reaction. Another Immortal? How many Immortals does this human civilization have?

Still, a single Immortal would not be enough to stop them.

Lu Yin looked up from within the megaverse as Master Qing Cao fought with the Immortal Lord. The battle was majestic and all-encompassing.

Upon returning to the Nine Odysseys Megaverse from the Mindscape Megaverse, Lu Yin had gone to find Master Qing Cao. To be precise, Greater Sancte Green Lotus had found the man, but he had left it to Lu Yin to raise a certain question.

It was a question that they had wanted to ask before the journey to the Thread of Heaven, but no one had been able to find Master Qing Cao at that time.
