Lu Yin was not able to alter the past, but he could move to the past. Scenes continued to move around him, and he saw Bao Qi’s insane attacks, the battleship retreating, Second Life’s attack, the deaths of the Three Assassins, the appearance of the Heaven-Devouring Umbrella, and Bao Qi returning to the ship.
As the images stopped changing, Lu Yin found himself standing on the deck of the battleship. Behind him loomed the massive Heaven-Devouring Umbrella, while in front of him stood the towering stone gate. Just on the other side of the gate stood the round-faced old man.
The old man turned his head, and stared at the battleship in shock. "Did you just… travel through time?"
Further away, Palace Master Yao, Tian Ci, and the other top experts from the Spirit Nidus were equally astonished. Travel through time? Was Lu Yin capable of altering his own past? What kind of power was that? This was the power that could be granted by the Mirari Realm.
"Bao Qi!" the round-faced old man shouted.
At this moment, Lu Yin was already standing on the battleship, accompanied by only Bao Qi. That Seraph was the only one who could stop Lu Yin.
Lu Yin attacked the Heaven-Devouring Umbrella with a palm strike, and the impact caused the battleship to tremble.
Inside the vessel, Bao Qi sat down and closed his eyes. He did not move at all. Even when the Cauldron Bell in front of him trembled, it elicited no reaction.
The young elites of the Spirit Nidus were all horrified, as they were able to feel Lu Yin’s power right above them.
Everyone was thrown back by the shockwaves from Lu Yin’s attack. Yuan Mie slammed into the inside of the hull. When he raised his head, his face was pale. “What a monster!”
The purple-haired girl, Cat, and the individual trembling beneath a blanket in a corner were all thrown off balance. The entire battleship nearly capsized.
Green sword qi flickered through space, the attack was aimed at Lu Yin.
He extended a finger, and a purplish-black substance spread out from it to slam against the green sword qi. The slash froze in space for a moment before it dissipated.
Palace Master Yao’s expression changed slightly. "What immense strength and what terrifying power. It’s no wonder that he was able to face the president of the Chamber of Commerce. There’s no doubt that this man is at the same level as the Seven Seraphs."
The round-faced old man raced towards the battleship as fast as he could as fast as he could. As he shot through outer space, the Impression Realm released a surge of sequence particles that filled the region.
Lu Yin only had moments to act. The old man was not far away, and he could arrive at any moment. Lu Yin’s attack had not been strong enough to destroy the umbrella or the battleship, and it had allowed him to realize that the umbrella was also a sequence base.
Four of the Spirit Nidus’s sequence bases had been brought to the Tianyuan Megaverse as part of the invasion.
Since it was a sequence base…
Lu Yin pressed both hands against the Heaven-Devouring Umbrella and released his inner universe while using Verdant Eternity. There was a mighty roar that caused the entire battleship to tremble again. As the round-faced old man and others from the Spirit Nidus stared bug-eyed, Lu Yin forcibly ripped the massive umbrella away.
“Stop!” the old man roared in fury as he threw his golden pen forward, aiming it right at Lu Yin.
Lu Yin kept a firm hold of the Heaven-Devouring Umbrella with his inner universe as some of the stars started to swirl around and sequence particles spread out. They were the Law of Near and Far, and when they appeared, Lu Yin disappeared.
He had used some of the sequence particles that he had harvested from the Rivers and Mountains Painting. That sequence base had introduced the laws of the universe to Lu Yin’s inner universe.
The old man arrived just as Lu Yin vanished, and he stared at the battleship’s suddenly empty deck. The Heaven-Devouring Umbrella was gone. Lu Yin had already stolen it.
The old man immediately started to chase after Lu Yin, only to suddenly stop. A person shrouded with a black robe had appeared. This was the expert who had attacked the Immemorial Citadel.
“They were prepared. The attempt failed,” a voice from within the black robes stated.
The round-faced elder clenched his fists while shooting a resentful glare after Lu Yin. The old man then muttered something to the black-robed figure, who responded with surprise, “It’s that difficult? Very well.”
With that, the figure disappeared.
Lu Yin fled with the Heaven-Devouring Umbrella. No one from the Spirit Nidus dared to try to block him, and even if they had, their efforts would have been futile. Lu Yin was strong enough to fight against the Seven Seraphs of the Spirit Nidus. Not even Palace Master Yao’s Bifrost Unscathed Sword would be enough to threaten Lu Yin.
Suddenly, Mister Mu arrived in the universe. He immediately spotted Lu Yin and the Heaven-Devouring Umbrella he was carrying, but he said nothing, despite the surprise he felt. Instead, Mister Mu’s focus shifted to the stone gate.
