c3481: Destroyed In One Punch

After listening to the old men recount the tragedies, Lu Yin was reminded of a scene he had once seen in the Books of Destiny. It had been of him personally slaughtering the people of the Heavens Sect. He had been killing those dearest to him one after another. Seeing that had triggered such an intense pain in his heart that he had hardly been able to even breathe. Just imagining such an outcome had made him feel suffocated. The people of the Worryless Valley were living through that exact agony.

The three Revelation Elders knelt as one. "Third Boss, if you are willing, please assist our Revelation Domain in removing this darkness. We are willing to endure hell or high water for this, Third Boss. We will walk to our deaths without hesitation."

There was no response from Lu Yin. When the three old men lifted their heads, Lu Yin was already gone.

They exchanged glances, uncertain of whether this Third Boss would help them. However, they had no other options.

Even though the Spirit Nidus had a unified cultivation system and the Ascendant Hall ruled over the entire megaverse, the thirty-six domains were still divided. Even if this matter was reported to the Ascendant Hall, there would be no intervention, and the Revelation Sect would not receive any assisting resources either.

The thirty-six domains’ internal affairs needed to be handled internally.

If Lu Yin chose not to help, then the three Revelation Elders would be completely helpless to do anything about it. The killing intent they had sensed from the depths of the Worryless Valley had left them too terrified to do anything at all.

While the people of the Revelation Sect did not fear death, the old men refused to die without purpose.

Lu Yin had already left the Revelation Sect without anyone noticing his departure. He was on his way to the Worryless Valley.

He needed to verify what he had heard from the three Revelation Elders, but regardless of the truth, Lu Yin intended to deal with the Worryless Elder.

Capturing the Spirit Nidus’s experts would strengthen his Karmic Dao. If the captured people were virtuous, then they would be freed when Lu Yin returned to the Tianyuan Megaverse. If not, he would eliminate them.

Regardless, he was still reducing the number of experts in the Spirit Nidus. Why would he not do it?

Also, the truth was that Lu Yin had an even deeper purpose: his inner universe.

If he could create a true universe, what would prevent his captives from living in Lu Yin’s inner universe?

As a human who could create an inner universe, he wondered if it was possible that the megaverse he was currently roaming about in had similarly been created by another person.

The Revelation Sect claimed that the universe was a living organism. Lu Yin did not agree with this theory, but he did believe that there was far more to reality than what they could currently perceive. What they saw might only be the surface of things.

Much like the civilizations living in the Perennial World’s ponds, it was possible that the megaverses were just in another layer of isolation.

While still thinking of these things, Lu Yin arrived at the Worryless Valley.

The people living there indeed appeared to be quite joyful, and they smiled warmly at him. However, when Lu Yin’s domain swept across the region, he noticed the bloodstains in the dark corners and the horrifying scenes that occurred behind closed doors. Things were playing out exactly as the three Revelation Elders had described. People’s innocent smiles were spoiled by blood. The images that Lu Yin saw reminded him of his first visit to Aeternus Nation and the chilling sights that he had seen there.

The thought of corpse kings coexisting with humans was a complete fantasy. However, it would be simple for a corpse king to coexist with the people of the Worryless Valley, as they had been deprived of their human nature. In essence, both creatures were the same kind.

Lu Yin averted his gaze as he stepped forward. When his foot touched down, the entire Revelation Domain trembled.

Old Tao and the others immediately turned to stare into the distance. What was that?

Inside the Revelation Sect, the three Revelation Elders moved out to stare in the Worryless Valley’s direction. Their excitement was palpable, as they knew that the Third Boss had made his move.

Further away, Zhan Qianguhou was still arguing with the Debater. Lu Yin’s observers had been completely surrounded and were unable to escape from the encirclement.

The Debaters demanded that Zhan Qianguhou admit that the universe was a living organism, but they had underestimated the young man’s persistence, which blazed as bright as a beacon.

As for the Debater, his determination was similarly unwavering, and his gaze was so resolute that people found it intimidating.

No one could leave. Not a single person.

No matter what sort of chaos unfolded elsewhere, there had to be a winner and a loser to the debate before anyone was allowed to leave.

In the Worryless Valley, the ground shattered beneath Lu Yin’s stomp. The valley collapsed.

One after another, cultivators raced out to attack Lu Yin. None of these individuals had lost their human nature.

Even so, a mere wave of Lu Yin’s hand sent everyone flying.

Beneath the Worryless Valley, an ancient pair of eyes opened and looked upward. The man up above appeared to be so young and youthful, and yet he also felt dangerous. There was no hesitation as a figure tore through the void and moved to escape. It was not the right time for the man to reveal himself, and he did not care why the young man had attacked the Worryless Valley. If the valley was destroyed, then so be it.

However, as the old man fled, the void twisted, and he soon discovered that it was impossible for him to leave.

The ancient eyes turned upwards again, just as Lu Yin looked down. "Worryless Elder?"

The Worryless Elder's eyes turned cold. Had someone come searching for him? No one should even be aware that he was still alive.

"And who might you be? If I have offended you in any way, I will offer my apologies."

Lu Yin took another step forward. "Come out and we’ll speak."

A terrifying force obliterated the ground and then continued to surge forward like a coiled dragon. As it shot towards the Worryless Elder, his expression changed. The suffocating pressure was causing the nearby space to tremble. What terrifying might! He entered the void to avoid the attack, but the ripples simply shot through the void without hindrance.

Suddenly, the Worryless Elder thought of someone. Yu Shan!

Yu Shan was a disciple of the High Seraph, and he was also the person who had destroyed the Hundred Grasses Domain with a single comment.

The Worryless Elder had met Yu Shan before. The man was an impressive sequence powerhouse who was ranked second on the White Spirit List. He was also known for his impressive physical strength.

Ripples from that kind of power were not easy to counter.

Much like Yu Shan, the Worryless Elder’s attacker also possessed monstrous physical strength. If that’s the case...

The Worryless Elder rose from underground, moving away from the ripples of power. The old man raised one hand towards Lu Yin. "Regardless of who you may be, I have done nothing to offend you. I do not wish to fight you."

With that, he threw a palm strike.

Lu Yin was caught off guard. Is that Sit and Forget? No, it’s similar but there are distinct differences.

Lu Yin was facing a comprehension technique. While it was similar to Sit and Forget in that the Worryless Elder’s attack could cause a person’s mind to go blank, his attack was far more powerful than Sit and Forget.

Lu Yin responded with a wave of his hand: Setting Sun.

As the setting sun descended, a twilight glow scattered across the region from the horizon.

Two comprehension techniques clashed above the Worryless Valley. The collision released a wave of power that few could even comprehend.
