c3824: Why Should I?

Those people were among the best in the entire megaverse. For them to reach such heights, they were proud and ambitious, aiming at the Immortal realm. Path Initiation was like picking up a new weapon, and it far surpassed the power of sequence particles when they were comprehended earlier on in one’s path.

Ying Mei had comprehended the sequence particles 10,000-Character Scripture World.

She used the Blood Tower for protection as she continuously drew more and more characters, hoping to banish Lu Yin away and cast him into oblivion. This was her true power as a peak Dukkhan and the sect master of the Autumnspring Slip.

“The more characters she writes, the larger her world becomes. Strike now, or else you won’t get another chance,” an aged voice explained. It belonged to the old man from the Luo family.

Lu Yin peered into the interior of the Blood Tower and met Ying Mei’s gaze. The calm in them was downright chilling.

She clearly had great confidence in her 10,000-Character Scripture World. For a peak Dukkhan to be willing to pick up a new weapon, it clearly had to be at the level of a Transcended Sequence. This was Ying Mei’s true trump card.

Path Initiation also meant abandoning any chance of ever becoming a Lesser Sancte. It was no wonder why the old woman cared so much about Qian Shu; he was the only one in their sect who could accomplish that goal. However, Qian Shu relied on the Autumnspring Slip, much like how Luo Ning relied on his family. Just what did the organization intend to use to elevate their prodigies to the position of Lesser Sancte?

Every law and rule existed to be broken. In a sense, rules existed precisely so that someone could challenge them.

Lu Yin lifted a foot and started to slowly walk towards the Blood Tower.

Within it, Ying Mei continued writing, her face growing paler by the moment.

She was not worried, even as Lu Yin approached. Her Blood Tower’s defenses were more than adequate. And as she used her blood with 10,000-Character Scripture World, her Soul legacy skill was also strengthened. This was a secret that only she was aware of. Without that, how could she remain calm enough to write out the characters?

Almost there. The number of characters increased rapidly. She needed more than a thousand, more than anything she had ever used before. Only then would she be confident in banishing Lu Yin.

Almost... Almost.

Lu Yin eventually arrived at the Blood Tower. Though surrounded, no one from the Autumnspring Slip dared to approach him. They all nervously watched as he approached their sect master.

Ying Mei focused on her writing. One by one, the blood-colored characters drifted away. It was an unsettling sight.

Lu Yin met her gaze from outside the Blood Tower. “Is that your true body, or your spirit seed?”

Ying Mei spat out blood as she continued writing characters without pause.

Lu Yin shook his head. “It appears that you don't have time to answer. So be it.”

With that, his consciousness exploded behind him as he initiated the Nine Heavens Transformation.

Howling, raging consciousness transformed the sky above, spreading out and enveloping the entire Ridgeplain before spreading further outward. Everyone who saw it was stunned.

Far away, in the Everchange Valley, Wan Lou looked up, his expression changing drastically. Who is that? Who has such terrifying consciousness?

In the Four Commands Sword Sect, Lu Sizhan and many others stared at the sky in shock. They had never witnessed such a powerful consciousness before, regardless of the era.

If someone could look down upon the entire Nine Odysseys Megaverse, they would see consciousness spreading out, like a vast, oppressive darkness, and gradually shrouding the entire Eastern Domain. Its force altered the world and shattered the sky.

Lu Yin possessed enough consciousness to shroud the entire Consciousness Megaverse, and at this moment, he fully unleashed his consciousness in the Nine Odysseys Megaverse.

Ying Mei’s pupils shrank sharply. Lu Yin’s consciousness was far more powerful than anything she could have ever imagined. He had clearly surpassed the Consciousness Megaverse’s Thirteen Luminaries, but how could he possess such an overwhelmingly powerful consciousness?

The bamboo slip in the sky was unable to endure the rising pressure, and it started to fall.

With his consciousness released into the Nine Heavens, Lu Yin underwent the Nine Heavens Transformation. His inner universe exploded out from his chest, and Infinity flowed through his body as his flesh withered and cracked due to Extremes Must Be Reversed. His Wielder-realm battle force and Heaven’s Seal’s sequence particles also appeared in full power. Countless spectators felt as though their eyes were being burned as they watched the void warp and distort around Lu Yin, too unstable to hold his presence. Thunder roared as spatial cracks were torn open.

On the ground below the Autumnspring Slip, Mr. Mo and other experts struggled to support the mirebound artifact. They gazed up at Lu Yin, who loomed like a mountain above them. They would not be able to endure this for much longer.

The Autumnspring Slip slammed into the ground, shattering Ridgeplain with a thunderous boom.

The people attending the Worldscript were caught up on the damage. The unlucky ones were buried underground, their fate uncertain.

Ying Mei coughed up blood. The shockwaves alone had nearly succeeded in shattering her Soul legacy skill. This man’s power had surely touched upon the level of an Immortal. How could he be so overwhelmingly powerful? He had the Nine Heavens Transformation, consciousness, and physical strength; all were terrifying beyond reason. How had he cultivated to reach such a level?

The old woman’s face abruptly grew deathly pale. She watched as Lu Yin raised a leg and kicked out.

There was a deafening bang, and the Blood Tower shattered. Ying Mei was sent flying alongside the fragments of the broken Blood Tower. She crashed through a mountain range near the Autumnspring Slip and disappeared deep into the earth.

Silence blanketed the area.

Long Yin was stunned.

The Luo family elder was similarly frozen in shock.

All who knew Ying Mei were completely dumbfounded. She had protected herself with a Blood Tower that had been reinforced with her own blood while preparing her ultimate weapon acquired from Comprehending the Way, 10,000-Character Scripture World. But all of that had been thoroughly destroyed by a single kick from Lu Yin. Ying Mei had not even been given an opportunity to retaliate.

Was the gap between them truly so vast?

Lu Siyu gulped as she stared at Lu Yin’s back. She finally understood what Lu Feichen and the other sect masters had experienced. When Lu Yin had wounded their legs, he had indeed been showing mercy.

Ming Xiaolong stared at Lu Yin’s back in a daze as she remembered Azu reporting that Lu Yin could not be stopped. Sure enough, it was impossible. Not even the entire Everchange Valley could have stopped that kick.

Qing Yun still looked calm, but internally, her mind was in chaos. While her perspective far surpassed most others, she was still shaken by Lu Yin’s kick. That attack’s power had surpassed the level of a peak Dukkhan, there was no question about it.

No one beneath the Immortal realm could withstand that kick. That was Qing Yun’s immediate conclusion.

Still, that kick was not enough. It could not kill someone like the High Seraph or even Ying Mei.

Lu Yin remained standing in place, his hands clasped behind his back. If the High Seraph had been present, he could have unleashed a similar level of power by using Everstone and manifesting the power of the universe. Lu Yin had simply unleashed one of his standard attacks.

Even so, his power shook all the spectators to their cores.

He slowly turned his head to look in a particular direction. That was where Qian Shu stood.

Qian Shu was right beside Qing Yun, hoping to look like the woman’s protector while the Autumnspring Slip assaulted Lu Yin, as well as to subtly create a sense of distance between her and Lu Yin. The moment that Lu Yin’s gaze fell upon him, Qian Shu’s scalp went numb. He felt as though a calamity had descended upon him.

Was this really the result of the Autumnspring Slip surrounding and attacking this man? Had this man single-handedly suppressed an entire sect?

Lu Yin raised a hand and beckoned towards Qian Shu, smiling at the other man.

Qian Shu gritted his teeth and slowly backed away. "No, I won’t go over. I don’t want to die!"
