The Buddha Beads snapped, beads scattering across the floor.
One of the beads rolled before the dignified Golden Buddha statue, standing like a guided Buddha image.
The appearance of it constantly changed.
Sometimes it showed a compassionate expression of empathy for the world, and sometimes a fierce visage like Yama in Hell, sometimes appeared masculine and at other times feminine.
This, indeed, was the Heavenly Listening Bodhisattva.
He represents the visage of all beings.
In the eyes of different people, the Bodhisattva appears different.
The Heavenly Listening Bodhisattva picked up the Buddha Bead at his heel, his voice magnetic and slow, resonating with heavy force.
"Your heart is yet not calm."
Dharma Seal Vajra lowered his head: "Disciple has listened to the Buddhist Law for eighteen years, and regards his Mind Platform as firm as a rock."
"Unexpectedly, an accidental encounter with an Asura Remnant Soul made the Buddha’s mind waver."
"Disciple is ashamed!"
His eyes no longer held the once calm and carefree demeanor, but a deep strand of pain and struggle within.
The Heavenly Listening Bodhisattva said plainly: "Can’t entirely blame you."
"It was I who sent you to the Heavenly Realm to hone your Buddha mind and prepare you to enter the Second Grade."
"Unexpectedly, you encountered worldly tribulations."
Dharma Seal Vajra is the disciple with the most innate wisdom at White Horse Temple in the past century.
Born with intuitive insight, capable of discerning the essence of all beings, creating the transformation list which became the most acclaimed talent ranking in Taicang State.
Insightful, able to glimpse Cause and Effect, adept at discerning heavenly secrets, his understanding of the Buddhist Path far surpasses that of his peers.
He is the disciple most likely to advance to Bodhisattva Fruit Position at White Horse Temple.
Yet, he, a disciple bearing the expectations of all monks at White Horse Temple.
Unexpectedly moved by the idea of returning to secular life!
Indeed, he felt moved towards that Asura Remnant Soul!
Dharma Seal Vajra looked confused: "What should disciple do? Please, Bodhisattva, guide the way."
The Heavenly Listening Bodhisattva remained silent for a long time.
Gazing at the scattered Buddha Beads in his hand, after a long while, he slowly spoke:
"You should return to secular life."
What?
Dharma Seal Vajra abruptly raised his head: "Bodhisattva, how can disciple betray Buddhism?"
The Heavenly Listening Bodhisattva said plainly: "Wherever there is beginning, there will be end."
"Your coming to White Horse Temple was a cause, leaving is also a cause."
"All under Buddhism follows the Cause."
Dharma Seal Vajra felt immensely ashamed: "Bodhisattva!"
"Disciple has gone against the teachings of Buddhism."
The Heavenly Listening Bodhisattva shook his head, saying:
"All beings are perplexed, where the heart leads to, is the path to resolving self-illusion."
"You have found your own path, follow your heart and walk down it."
"Go ahead!"
Crystalline tears flickered in Dharma Seal Vajra’s eyes.
