Chapter 001: A Bit Much?

When he came back to, Shien found himself already standing on the ground.
“So this is another world…?”
Having opened his eyes and seen the scenery after opening, Shien was at a loss.
At this moment, Shien is in the middle of a forest filled with greenery.
The surroundings wrapped by layers of trees.
Gentle sunlight pouring down from overhead.
Never-before-seen plants everywhere.
There are no sounds of birds, beasts, or insects, but the atmosphere is terrifyingly heavy, as it it’s telling the outsider Shien that he is unwelcome.
“…… It can’t be that I ended up in somewhere unbelievable, right?”
This is Shien’s first impression of this world.
Truth be told, Shien is still bewildered.
Even though he does remember just what happened to him, after suddenly arriving in this world, getting thrown into a completely unfamiliar place, not knowing anything other than common knowledge, and not having a bit of understanding of this world, it would be impossible for him to not be bewildered.
However, Shien does have a virtue that most others don’t.
And that is, no matter what kind of unreasonable circumstance he’s in, he can always just categorize it as something that can’t be helped and quickly adapt.
That’s also why even after learning what happened to him, he could still readily accept reality, accept the goddess’s request, and come to this other world.
“I wonder if it’s because I was this kind of person even in my previous life, or if it’s a change brought about after dying once.”
Shien thus muttered sarcastically to himself.
At this moment, Shien felt a weight in his hand, thus diverting his gaze to his hand.
After a look, Shien was stunned.
In his hand had appeared a sword from out of nowhere.
A brilliant sword, glowing with a similarly brilliant light.
The sword is in the style of a western two-handed sword. The hilt is gold in color, with a similarly golden gemstone embedded at the top. The blade is a brilliant pure white, with a constant light flowing around it, giving it a gorgeous appearance.
After seeing this sword, even Shien felt stunned.
However, at the same time he is stunned, Shien also felt something abnormal from the sword.
It’s as if he could merge with the sword into one, a feeling that the sword and himself are the same being.
That feeling even made Shien feel like he was just looking at himself.
What makes Shien even more dumbfounded was that when he was gazing at the sword, a message popped up in his mind.

“…… Is this a joke?”
Shien was dumbfounded.
Shien knew instinctively that the sword is amazing.
Although according to the goddess he seems to be the Hero. That a Hero should have his own Holy Sword is something perfectly reasonable, but even so, isn’t the effect a bit much?
Even if Shien didn’t know just what grade the stats and effects of that sword are, he could definitely tell that it is something that can’t possibly exist normally just from looking at the rows and rows of effects.
To sum it up, if a weapon like this showed up in a game, it would instantly destroy the game balance and the game developers will end up buried under hate mail from all the players.
And yet, it’s not even done.
Besides the Holy Sword before him, there is additional information showing up in Shien’s mind.
The information is split in two parts – [Level] and [Skills].
Shien raised his eyebrows at this game-like development.
Then Shien discovered that he could freely check those two statuses using just his will.
Thus, Shien started observing the [Level] status.
This seems to be showing Shien’s current level – [lv.1].
Um, that’s very clear. It let Shien know that he is a real newbie.
Immediately following, Shien checked the [Skills] status.
This seems to be showing the skills Shien currently have as wells as something called “Skill Points”.
Of them, the skill points are shown as [100]. Shien doesn’t know whether that’s a lot or a little either.
After that is the skills Shien has been looking forward to.
