Seeing the demons acting the way they are now, Shien still remembered that their expressions were quite easy going back at the very start.
However, after Lasha appeared, Sara and Jacinta’s had started showing some intriguing reactions.
When Sara saw Lasha, her expression suddenly changed and her breathing greatly sped up.
Jacinta was even worse off. When Lasha showed up, his entire body shook and nearly ended up screaming out in shock.
Lasha on the other hand not only showed no sign of fear when faced with the sovereign of the demon race and a demon commander, she even continued to provide service from the side with calmness and perfect poise the entire time.
This gave Shien quite a few questions. Airi was utterly silent, not saying a word.
Right now, Shien and Sara were sitting facing each other. Airi was also sitting to the side. Jacinta’s group however were standing behind Sara, allowing Lasha to quietly return to Shien’s side after she was done serving up the tea.
Only then did Sara finally barely manage to withdraw her gaze.
“You seem to have quite a special maid, Lord Bayztrot.”
Sara seemed to have come up with some unknown thoughts and, after taking a deep breath, she said something like that.
Shien raised an eyebrow, glanced over to the still placid looking Lasha at his side, and then turned back to Sara.
“Lady Moon Demon really does seem to like your jokes.” Shien smiled without it reaching his eyes, “This isn’t my maid. I don’t believe that the sovereign of the demon world would be ignorant to that extent, after all.”
Sara just smiled at that without admitting to it.
Of course she knew that this maid wasn’t actually Shien’s.
“If I’m not remembering it wrong, she should be the maid of that Old Demon Faction girl named Leisha, right?”
The words from Sara’s mouth proved that she did indeed control information to that respect.
“It’s former Old Demon Faction, you know?”
Shien replied without actually answering the real question.
“Where is this former member of the Old Demon Faction now then?” Sara asked with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes, “For her to actually leave her important maid with lord Bayztrot here, that former Old Demon Faction member must have quite a good relationship with you, no?”
“That, I’m afraid, is your misunderstanding.” Shien shook his head and spoke like he had other things on his mind, “I just encountered her a couple of times, that all. Would Lady Sara believe me if I said something like that?”
“Encountered her a couple of times you say?” Sara spoke pointedly, “Would someone who only encountered you a couple of times really hand over her important maid to serve you?”
“Who knows?” Shien shrugged while speaking somewhat solemnly, “Maybe she thought I was handsome and trustworthy, and that was why she did what she did. Who can say after all.”
“Pff.” Sara couldn’t help the laugh that erupted out of her mouth, “You really do know how to joke around, Lord Bayztrot.”
“…” Shien’s face twitched a few times as he got the urge to hit her.
Although he did indeed purposefully say it in a lighthearted manner, he was still really unhappy at the response that he got.
He was calling himself handsome after all, and the result was Sara then laughing and calling it a joke?
Wasn’t that basically the same as trying to call him ugly?
If not for the fact that he knew that there was no way that he could run, Shien really would have wanted to give her a slap.
Of course, that slap would definitely not be swung at her face.
If the other party was a man, then Shien would obviously be slapping him in the face, but if was a voluptuous beauty, then it has to be aimed at her butt instead.
