“Hmm?” Shien Buztout raised an eyebrow, seeing the Legendary-level experts gathered in the plaza before the Succubus Fortress. Their gazes also fell on him, their eyes flickering.
“You’re here,” Gray said, nodding amicably.
Sheen, however, looked surprised.
“You’re the one who broke the rules last time?” he asked, seemingly not expecting Shien to be here.
Shien smirked at him, ignoring this demon who shared his name, and looked at Ses instead.
Ses, also observing Shien, noticed his gaze and approached him.
“You’re the human who’s been causing a commotion in Succubus City, favored by the Succubus and rumored to be the reappeared Hero, right?” Ses asked meaningfully, “I’ve heard so much about you, Earl Shien Buztout.”
Shien narrowed his eyes and smiled.
“You’re the Clan Chief of the Heterogeneous Spirit Clan, Ses, whom Liel described as ‘just average, barely passable’ among the executives, right?”
Shien’s words were clearly provocative.
At least, everyone present could tell.
“Do they have a history?” Hart asked Gray, surprised.
“I don’t know,” Gray shook his head.
“Hey!” Sheen shouted at Shien.
Ses’s eyes flickered, and he said calmly, “It seems you have some hostility towards me, Earl Buztout.”
Shien shook his head and waved his hand.
“Not really hostility,” he said with a smile, “I just find it strange that those in the Succubus Territory have such poor judgment, calling someone like you ‘average’ and ‘barely passable’.”
Ses’s pupils constricted slightly, and even Sheen’s expression changed.
Both brothers thought, (Did he discover it?)
No, impossible. They had used the special item given to them. Even a maxed-out [Appraisal] skill shouldn’t be able to see through it. Hadn’t Master Parion also said that in the Demon Realm, besides Sara, the Moon Demon, even the other Demon Lords couldn’t see through them?
Could it be because of his special nature?
He was the Hero.
The Holy Sword possessed immense power, including enhancing the Hero’s skill levels.
Perhaps this Hero possessed an [Appraisal] skill beyond the maximum level.
Thinking of this, both Ses and Sheen broke out in a cold sweat, their hearts pounding.
Ses, feigning composure, looked at Shien.
“You flatter me, but compared to the other executives, I do have many shortcomings,” he said. This was more of a probe than an admission.
Shien simply looked at Ses, then lost interest.
“Whatever you say. I’m just an outsider, what can I prove?” He turned his head and yawned, his previous aggression replaced by laziness.
Ses inwardly breathed a sigh of relief, yet still felt immense pressure. He exchanged glances with Sheen, then fell silent.
Hart and Gray watched this scene, confused.
Everyone remained silent, the atmosphere oppressive.
Fortunately, the silence didn’t last long.
“Master Shafney!” The Rock Giant brothers at the Succubus Fortress gate suddenly moved, kneeling towards the entrance.
From within, accompanied by Liel, Shafney emerged, yawning, just like Shien earlier.
However, unlike Shien’s casual and somewhat sloppy appearance, Shafney’s languid demeanor was like that of an ancient concubine after a night of drinking, exuding an astonishing beauty.
“Master Shafney!”
“Master Shafney!”
Hart, Ses, and even Sheen stared at Shafney, their voices filled with excitement.
“Your Highness…” Even Gray couldn’t help but look at Shafney, his eyes filled with infatuation.
The Succubus instantly became the center of attention, her beauty radiant and captivating.
Even Shien cursed inwardly, quickly looking away.
Shafney glanced at Shien, seeing him looking up at the sky, feeling both amused and annoyed.
However, she didn’t speak to him, ignoring everyone else, and simply asked Liel lazily,
“Are we ready to depart?” She wasn’t even interested in greeting the others.
“Anytime, Master Shafney,” Liel replied immediately.
“Good,” Shafney nodded, “Then let’s go.”
“Yes.” As Liel replied, she took something out from her bosom.
It was a pen.
A pen seemingly made entirely of crystal.
