c76: How Unoriginal.

“Hmm?”

When Shine came down from the third floor with a book back to the first floor main hall, a strange sensation made him stop his movements.

Shien raised his head and looked around.

With that look, Shien noticed quite a few adventurers either hiding or blatantly looking in his direction.

“That’s him, right?”

“That’s right.”

“He doesn’t look like anything special.”

“Yeah.”

“I really don’t know just what’s going on.”

“Here I though this newbie will end up just like the last few. Either he’d get kicked out after staying with Miss Vivian’s party for a month, or he’d do something during the middle and get dealt with by Miss Diere.”

“That’s right.”

Whispered conversations in those veins faintly entered Shien’s ears.

Perhaps the other side were purposefully saying it in a way so that he could hear.

At least, Shien could see full well that of the ones having such conversations, many of them were glaring at him with derision and sneers.

Shien raised an eyebrow.

With the change in the conversations’ content and attitude, Shien could understand what had happened just slightly thinking about it.

“This is because of Vivian and them, huh?”

It looks like, before, when Shien was dragged upstairs by Vivian, that scene ended up provoking those adventurers.

This kind of development…

“It’s not going to end up like the cliché again, is it?”

Shien narrowed his eyes. He had no words.

Such a cookie cutter development can’t get Shien excited at all.

“So, is there going to be someone jumping out for me to beat down and show off now?”

Shien made a disdainful expression.

Rather than such boring developments that one could think a few dozen chapters of without even trying, Shien would rather hurry back and learn some magic.

He finally managed to get a chance to learn magic after all. Shien doesn’t was to instead waste his time on stuff that doesn’t do anything for him but raise his profile.

“Really, it can’t be helped…”

Shien quietly sighed as he picked up his feet again and walked toward the direction of the guild doors.

At the same time, Shien imagined all kinds of scenarios for what was likely to happen next.

Not long after…

“Oy, the newbie over there.”

Just as Shien was about to leave the guild, a huge figure finally appeared before him.

It was an adventurer resembling a humanoid bear: Bulging with muscles, carrying a bloody weapon on his back, with a vicious looking face.

That that moment, he stood in front of the guild door with his arms crossed while sneering down at Shien with derision.

The surrounding adventurers looked at that scene, and each of them showed an expression like they were anticipating a show.

Shien was forced to stop moving, and his head also lowered.

Seeing that, the huge adventurer laughed.

“Little…”

Just as the other was about to speak up, Shien suddenly raised his head.”

“Little brat, you seem to have gotten quite famous recently – Was that what you were about to say?”

Shien’s words made the huge adventurer freeze up.

“You…”

The huge adventurer was about to open his mouth again, as if he wanted to say something else.

However, Shien didn’t give him that chance.

“You think you’ll be fine just acting cool? Even so, I’m not going to let you off! – Was that what you wanted to say?”

Shien’s words made the other person’s shock turn to confusion.

“I…”

That person tried to speak up again.

Only…

“I am xxx, one of the top adventurers here in Lamdrion, with a level of xxx. I could crush a mere noob like you with a single hand, so pay attention and don’t piss me off – That’s what you wanted to say, right?”
