With a clear metallic clashing sound, the pure while imitation Holy Sword had slashed forth like a flash and slammed into the hurriedly raised sealed Holy Sword, creating a shower of sparks.
That Empire princess named Katarine had dashed before Shien before anyone noticed and swung her sword, creating this situation.
“Oh? So you were able to react in time, huh?”
Katarine’s pretty brows raised slightly as a hint of surprise showed on her beautiful face.
Although Katarine didn’t put her full effort into that strike just now, she was still striking with the imitation Holy Sword. For any normal knight, never mind blocking it, they might not even have been able to react before they were struck and cut down.
“So that’s how it is. Being able to gain the favor of Lucilosti Mitra. That doesn’t seem to be some joke of a rumor after all.”
Katarine said something like that, which made Shien with his raise Holy Sword raise an eyebrow too.
“You know Lucy?”
Shien asked that question without thinking.
Who could have expected that this question of his would end up getting him an unexpected reply.
“Of course I know her.” Katarine’s expression turned cold and she even ground her teeth together, “I wouldn’t forget that woman even if I were to forget everything important in these 17 years of my life.”
Those words leaked out a shocking amount of obsession and hatred.
Shien’s eyes immediately narrowed.
It looks like this Empire princess and Kingdom princess has some connections that few knows of.
Only, this connection is definitely not the good kind.
“Did that woman not come?” Katarine stared intently at Shien as she coldly spoke, “Is it that she’s afraid to come because she knows I’m here? Or is it that this insignificant border incident not worth the greatest talent of the Kingdom in a thousand years taking action?”
When he heard those word, Shien turned unhappy.
The hell? Talking smack about his wife when she’s not around?

Thus, Shien spoke without hesitation.
“I don’t even know where the hell you popped out from, girl.”
The meaning behind Shien’s words were quite obvious. He was telling her to not get conceited. No one even knows that she’s here, nor would Lucy be so far away because of any fear.

So Katarine spoke.
“Is that so.” Shien just smirked, “Sorry, I was an adventurer before I became a noble, so I’m an uncouth person. In the end, I’m different from you spoiled and carefully raised princesses, so please forgive me, alright?”
“Are you insulting me?” Katarine smiled, but that smile did not reach her eyes, “Do you act like this in front of Lucilosti as well?”
“What?” Shien grined, “Is there an issue with that?”
“If the answer is yes, then there isn’t.” Katarine spoke calmly, “But if not, then that proves that you’re not some uncouth person who treats everyone the same. Instead, you’re just like the other men, a mere vulgar man who only knows to orbit that woman.”
In other words, this Empire princess could forgive Shien for being an uncouth man, but she wouldn’t be able to forgive him for being a vulgar man.
It’s because this difference in treatment will only make her disdainful and feel unpleasant.
Katarine has encountered similar situations before, after all.
“The men of the Kingdom only knows to orbit that woman. They might act oh so gentlemanly on the surface, but in reality, they’re just looking for any excuse to stand up for that woman.
