"You don’t need to worry about that." Bai Xifeng grinned.
Bai Xifeng stepped closer to the griffin. "Are you sure about becoming my contracted beast?" She asked the griffin for confirmation.
The griffin nodded.
"Since you are sure about that, I will sign a contract with you." Bai Xifeng nodded.
Qin Heng and Shao Chen were confused. How Bai Xifeng wanted to contract this beast if there was no beast tamer here.
Usually, the beast tamer would help people to tame the beast for them before helping them to make a contract with the beast.
It was Bai Xifeng’s first beast taming. So, she did not quite understand what to do. So, Baishe was going to guide her over.
Bai Xifeng raised her hand toward the griffin. She began the incantation. It was the spell used to tame the beast.
Qin Heng and Shao Chen looked at each other.
"Is he taming the beast?" Shao Chen asked.
"It looks like it." Qin Heng stared at Bai Xifeng.
"But is he a pharmacist? How could he be a beast tamer too?" Shao Chen asked again.
"I don’t know." Qin Heng did not know the answer to that question.
Bai Xifeng moved to the next step which was making the contract with the griffin. She approached the griffin. The griffin bowed down so that Bai Xifeng could reach her forehead.
Bai Xifeng kissed the griffon’s forehead. Once she kissed it, she could see something warm in her heart.
Baishe told her that she had successfully contracted the griffin. Then the griffin broke through. He was in the General Rank before. And now he advanced to Spiritual Rank.
’Baishe, what happened?’ Bai Xifeng asked Baishe.
’The beast-taming method that you used is different than others. Once you contracted the beast, the beast would advance to the next rank.’ Baishe explained.
’Wow, that’s cool.’ Bai Xifeng stated.
Even the griffin was surprised by his breakthrough. He had been doing everything to advance to the next rank but still had no success.
However, today, just because he contracted with this human, he managed to break through to Spiritual Rank. He was glad that he made the decision.
Bai Xifeng then proceeded to hug the griffin. She was happy to get her first contract beast.
Qin Heng and Shao Chen were scared to death seeing Bai Xifeng’s action. Nothing happened. Bai Xifeng did not get injured or anything. They finally realized that Bai Xifeng had contracted the beast.
There was one thing that they found out that Bai Xifeng was a beast tamer too despite her excellent skill as a pharmacist. They could not believe themselves.
Qin Heng and Shao Chen braved themselves to approach Bai Xifeng and the griffin.
"Your father is very smooth." Bai Xifeng commented.
The griffin looked proud with her feathers while spreading her wings to Bai Xifeng to show off her magnificent feather.
"You have a part of a lion’s body." Bai Xifeng walked in a circle to take a closer look at the griffin’s body.
It was very like in the mythology. A creature with the head of an eagle with wings and the lower body of a lion. It was like a fantasy.
’You need to give him a name.’ Baishe reminded Bai Xifeng.
’Oh, I forgot about that.’ Bai Xifeng said.
Bai Xifeng thought of something.
"Since you are a Gryphon, your name should be Gryffindor." Bai Xifeng grinned.
It was a perfect name for the griffin.
"Oh, it is the name of a person who is famous for his bravery and courage." Bai Xifeng said.
Qin Heng and Shao Chen looked at each other again.
"Is there someone famous who goes with that kind of name?" Shao Chen asked by whispering to Qin Heng.
Qin Heng lifted his shoulder as a signal that he also did not have any idea what Bai Xifeng talking about.
Bai Xifeng took out pills and gave them to Gryffindor. Gryffindor was happy to see the pills. He took them and ate them.
Qin Heng and Shao Chen wanted to cry when they saw Bai Xifeng give the pills to the beast just like that.
They had mistaken the pills for the same pills that were given to Shao Chen. The pills would be very useful to humans if the same thing that happened to Shao Chen occurred again.
’It is delicious.’ Gryffindor stated.
’So, you really like pills?’ Bai Xifeng asked.
’Yes, Master. Please give me more.’ Gryffindor requested.
’Put that aside first, tell me what is going on. Why are you here in this array?’ Bai Xifeng wanted to know about that.
’I don’t know. We were suddenly trapped inside this array for about 4 days.’ Gryffindor stated.
Bai Xifeng’s guess was correct. Someone placed this array here to trap someone. Probably people from the military.
’You are the first human that we encounter in the last few days. So we wanted to kill humans to ear.’ Gryffindor explained.
’We need to get out of here.’ Bai Xifeng said.
"Long Feng." Qin Heng called Bai Xifeng after seeing Bai Xifeng fall to silence.
