They stopped their carriage after finding the river. Hu Meifeng was confused as to why they were stopped in the middle of nowhere.
"Go and take a look if there are fishes in the river or not. Catch some if you can." Bai Xifeng said.
Bai Xifeng began to take out the pot and other equipment for cooking. As usual, Xiao Li would take over the cooking task.
After a while, Yu Nianzu and Yu Xiaohui came back with a basket of fish.
"Wow, it is a lot. How do you catch these many in a short time?" Bai Xifeng asked.
"Nianzu used his lightning. One second, the fish floated at the surface of the river." You Xiaohui stated.
Bai Xifeng was speechless. Then she asked. "You mean all of the fish are dead now?"
"No, Master... I just use a tiny of my lightning. I am sure that the fish will be waking up again." Yu Nianzu said.
"Are you sure about that?" Bai Xifeng asked.
Yu Nianzu thought a little. He was not so sure anymore. "Probably."
"Hmm... Let’s just pray for the fish." Bai Xifeng nodded.
Then, Xiao Li and Yu Xiaoqing began to prepare the food. Hu Meifeng wanted to help too but got rejected by both of them after Hu Meifeng made a mess while cutting the onion.
So, she joined Bai Xifeng watching them prepare the food. As for Yu Nianzu, he went to take care of the horses, giving them food and water. The horses became fond of him.
"Master, why do we need to stop here to eat? Why can’t we rush to the next town?" Hu Meifeng asked.
Hu Meifeng thought they would just have a quick dinner before going to the next town. However, it seemed they were not in a rush.
"Huh? We are going to stay overnight here." Bai Xifeng answered.
"What? Here?" Hu Meifeng was shocked.
"Hmm... The next town is quite far from here. Even if we depart now, we will arrive at the next town in the morning." Bai Xifeng said.
"How could we stay overnight here?" Hu Meifeng asked.
She knew that this place was not safe at all. There might be beasts lurking around or people who might have bad intentions toward them.
Hu Meifeng looked at others. It seemed they were not worried at all. She really wondered if it was the correct decision to follow this girl or not.
Bai Xifeng stood up. She began to do something.
"What is she doing?" Hu Meifeng asked while watching Bai Xifeng doing something that she did not understand.
"Oh, Master is setting up an array to protect ourselves for tonight." Yu Xiaohui just returned from taking some water that needed to be used for cooking.
"Setting an array? She is an array master at such a young age?" Hu Meifeng was surprised.
"Hmm..." Yu Xiaohui nodded.
"I see." Hu Meifeng looked at Bai Xifeng full of admiration.
After one hour, Bai Xifeng finished setting up an array to protect them for the night. When she returned to them, she could see that Hu Meifeng’s look at her had been changed. It was full of admiration.
"Why are you looking at me like that? I am a woman." Bai Xifeng crossed her arms protecting her chest from Hu Meifeng.
Hu Meifeng coughed. She did not mean it that way. She just admired her as an array master.
"Master, she might admire you because you are an array master." Yi Xiaohui stepped forward clarifying that fact.
"Oh... I see." Bai Xifeng was relieved.
Hu Meifeng was a bit speechless. Why did Bai Xifeng think that way? She was a woman too.
"Master, do you think I can learn to be an array master too?" Hu Meifeng asked in a joking tone.
However, she never thought that Bai Xifeng would respond like this.
"Hmm... You can be anything as long as you work hard to achieve it. Do you just want to learn it?" Bai Xifeng asked.
Hu Meifeng was shocked. She grew up in a patriarchal family where women had no high place in the family. Everything would go to his little brother first.
She was dreaming of being an array master. When she told her mother, she got scolded by her mother for having such a ridiculous dream.

"Yes. I want to learn it." Hu Meifeng nodded.

"Thank you, Master." Hu Meifeng began to kowtow Bai Xifeng.

"Yes, Master." They nodded.
The dinner was ready. They ate the food. Xiao Li and Yu Xiaoqing cooked some fish stew and grilled fish. It was delicious.
After dinner and cleaning, they began to do their thing. Yu Xiaohui and Yu Xiaoqing started to practise their pharmacist skills. Yu Nianzu started to study armament.
As promised, Bai Xifeng began to teach Xiao Li and Hu Meifeng about array and formation.
They were safe inside the array. Without knowing other people decided to stay nearby too. However, their luck was not so good since some breasts came over and attacked them while they were sleeping.
