"You’re heading back to the Detective Agency, aren’t you? Let me come with you."

Grey didn’t even turn around as he continued walking out of the warehouse.

Behind them, Bao watched the two disappear through the entrance.

A faint smile unknowingly appeared on his face.

However, the smile only lasted a brief moment.

The instant he remembered the improvements he wanted to make, his entire expression became serious.

He immediately spread out the blueprints belonging to Grey’s and Violet’s magic ships across the worktable.

Picking up his drawing tools without wasting another second, Bao immersed himself completely in his work.

"You’re heading back to the Detective Agency, right?" Violet asked after catching up with Grey.

"It’s been quite a while since we’ve actually walked together."

As she spoke, the breeze gently swept several strands of her silver-white hair across her face.

She casually tucked them behind her ears with practiced elegance.

The simple movement, though ordinary, carried an indescribable charm.

Anyone fortunate enough to witness the scene would likely be left staring absentmindedly.

Grey gently shook his head.

"I plan to purchase some poisonous materials first," he replied calmly.

"After that, I’ll return to the Detective Agency."

"I see. So you’re still making poison."

She could remember the first times that Grey and her met. At that time, Grey liked to dispersed poison wantonly all over the place.

It was particularly because of this reason that she avoided staying too close to him. Afraid that he may sprinkle poison without her knowledge.

But hearing that he was actually going to buy materials to concoct more poison actually made her more curious instead of cautious.

"Yes. I still use poison. Although it won’t cause great harm to Spirit Core Formation realm experts at this level, it’s already potent enough for Foundation Establishment." Grey said in a low voice like he didn’t want to be heard.

"But after what happened with the World where the dead Soul Ascendancy realm expert was, my poison was more or less useless. So now, I want to improve it as much as I can."

Violet paused for a second before nodding and naturally falling into step beside him.

She had already finished the apple she was eating earlier and now leisurely walked with both hands clasped behind her back.

It did not matter if Grey was going to concoct poison or not, since he had already stated his reason for doing so, then it was not really her concern anymore.

Neither of them spoke for a while.

They simply walked side by side through the bustling streets of Sky Mist City.

Every so often, a gentle breeze would pass between the buildings, lifting Grey’s grey hair and Violet’s silver-white hair simultaneously.

The strands danced lightly in the wind before slowly settling once again.

Neither of them paid the slightest attention to it.

Their footsteps remained calm and unhurried as they continued walking through the crowded streets.

To the countless pedestrians around them, the pair appeared strangely harmonious.

Anyone who happened to witness them walking together would instinctively feel that the two looked exceptionally well-matched, as though the quiet youth and the carefree captain naturally belonged in the same picture.
