Polo Ye followed the Observer’s gaze, seeing nothing with the naked eye, but when it activated its energy vision, a... strange creature appeared before it.
Strange, but not really.
Overall, it was a transparent, limp creature, resembling a slime monster.
Polo Ye had seen this kind of creature before, known as a Void Traveler. They are void creatures, weak and timid, with no special abilities, just fast, and very rare.
The Phantom Spirit City actually had a Void Traveler that the City Lord had captured.
It had a poor impression of the Void Traveler, considering them as fools, with no wisdom, weak in power, and did not understand why the City Lord liked to study them so much, even creating a special lab to prevent their escape.
In Polo Ye’s view, any creature that stole the City Lord’s attention was not a good creature.
The Void Traveler was no exception.
However, this Void Traveler looked different from the one in the Phantom Spirit City because... it was fat and big.
Normal Void Travelers were more or less the same size, but this one seemed mutated. The difference was like that between a dwarf and a giant.
But, no matter how big it got, it was still a weak and timid Void Traveler, not worth Polo Ye’s attention.
The reason Polo Ye’s expression was strange was not because of this larger Void Traveler in front of it.
Rather, there was a... dog? floating inside its transparent belly, like a water ball.
It was a very ordinary-looking Dalmatian puppy, not much bigger than an adult, looking very panicked, frantically "dog paddling" inside the Void Traveler, trying to leave its belly.
However, no matter how much the little Dalmatian swam, it couldn’t move.
In despair, its eyes rolled back, head tilted to the side, short and stubby limbs unconsciously spread out, seemingly... fainted from drowning.
But it didn’t stay drowned for long; it seemed to awaken quickly, paddled a few more times, then continued to faint.
Thus, this little Dalmatian repeatedly woke up, then fainted from drowning before their eyes, a never-changing cycle.
"Shura?" What’s going on?
The Observer looked puzzled, wondering what was being performed here.
"Why did a Void Traveler come out of the Space Rift? Moreover, this Void Traveler is quite..." Polo Ye pondered for a long time before blurting out the word: "quite fashionable; it even keeps a pet."
"Is this dog a pet?" the Observer subconsciously responded.
"Shura? If it’s not a pet, what do you think it is, a Void Behemoth?" Polo Ye replied irritably. Initially, it wondered if it might be a special creature, but after carefully perceiving, it found it was just an ordinary puppy, not knowing from which world the Void Traveler had abducted it.
The Observer thought it made sense; Void Travelers are generally very weak... Um, this Void Traveler seemed relatively larger, but its aura determined everything; with his vision, he clearly knew the level of strength this Void Traveler had.
A dog that could be stored in a Void Traveler’s belly couldn’t possibly be powerful. Polo Ye was probably right; it might have abducted it... But could it be a pet? Hard to say, perhaps it was just spare food or a toy.
With these thoughts, both the Observer and Polo Ye stopped paying attention to the little drama queen puppy performing "life and death," instead focusing on the Void Traveler.
"Why is this Void Traveler here? How did it locate this place? What’s its purpose for coming here?"
Polo Ye asked while extending a tentacle, trying to pull the Void Traveler over.
But the Void Traveler was very cautious and quickly zipped behind Angel.
Seeing Polo Ye about to reach Angel, the Observer sighed and intercepted its tentacle.
Although the Observer thought Angel must be awake at this point, since he was still performing "comprehension," he couldn’t expose him, so he had to intercept.
However, the fact that this Void Traveler chose to cleverly hide behind Angel subtly indicated some kind of connection between it and Angel.
This point was noticed not only by the Observer but also by Polo Ye.
Polo Ye showed a look of realization: "Shura! It seems my first two questions have answers; this Void Traveler is likely linked to him. Located here through him, it came."
"But why did it come here at this time, and what’s its purpose?"
The Observer didn’t understand either, but he still spoke for Angel: "Perhaps it’s just a coincidence."
"Coincidence? Shura~ Do you think I would believe that?"
The Observer himself didn’t believe it because he had seen Angel previously had a Void Traveler he called "Heideland," and now another Void Traveler appeared, surely called by Angel.
The only question was why Angel would call a Void Traveler here, which puzzled him. Could it relate to Angel agreeing with Polo Ye to enter the Domain Field and then targeting the arrival by shrinking the field range?
Upon careful thought, it didn’t make sense; what could a weak Void Traveler do?
"I understand, Shura~"
The Observer turned his head.
Polo Ye: "I guess this Void Traveler is his way out. The Void Traveler’s best ability is escaping and being familiar with space. You saw just now—it opened a space crevice silently, a trick only a Void Traveler could do."
"This guy thought it through; he even raised a Void Traveler as a way out, no wonder he dared to get involved in this matter."
The Observer thought for a moment and agreed with Polo Ye’s speculation.
When Angel returned to the Mist Belt’s center, he surely hadn’t expected the Observer’s protection at the time.
A wizard, unless in desperation, wouldn’t recklessly tread a dead end unprepared. Logically speaking, Angel should have a way out.
Relating this to the previously concealed Heideland, it seemed like the Void Traveler was indeed his fallback plan.
Moreover, this Void Traveler being able to locate here probably wasn’t locating Angel but Heideland.
With this reasoning, the logic immediately became coherent for the Observer.
