After the success of the first test, the second challenge arrived.
Could the Magic Vortex function normally?
This test seemed very similar to the first one, but it was not.
The first test was to see if the Magic Vortex Embryo could operate, meaning whether it could move at all, while the second test was to see if it could work properly, which actually raised the stakes to the “application” level from the first test’s basics.
To determine if the Magic Vortex Embryo could operate normally, one only needed to look at one place:
The Psychic Model.
Firstly, whether the Magic Vortex Embryo matched the Spiritual Power Model above.
Secondly, whether the existing energy within the Magic Vortex Embryo could form a closed loop when entering the channel of the Spiritual Power Model.
If both of these criteria were met, it would mean the second test was also successful.
Angel carefully tried to manipulate the Magic Vortex Embryo; as he drew a wisp of energy from the vortex, his heart nearly rose to his throat.
He feared that any slight disturbance would cause a significant dissipation of energy.
As the wisp of energy slowly entered the Spiritual Power Model, Angel felt somewhat relieved. Being able to enter the Spiritual Power Model meant it was a match.
Then it remained to be seen whether this essence of energy could form a closed circuit within the Spiritual Power Model.
While waiting for the operation to complete, Angel’s attention was still highly focused, his entire mind fixed on the Magic Vortex Embryo.
As he understood, the majority of Apprentices would lose some energy from their Mind Space at this stage, but up to this point, he hadn’t lost any energy.
This was exceedingly rare. After all, when the Magical Core shattered, the energy sphere that formed was several times larger than other Apprentices’. The chance of energy dissipation from his sphere was much higher as well.
Yet there was no energy leakage. Why was that? Angel pondered for a while but couldn’t come up with an answer. He could only assume that perhaps he was just luckier.
Angel checked the Magic Vortex Embryo again; the sphere of energy was still rotating steadily, showing no signs of leaking energy. He put his doubts aside for the time being and refocused on the Spiritual Power Model.
When the Magical Core fractured into an energy sphere, the Spiritual Power Model was nearly parched, with practically no energy flowing through its channels.
Now, the arrival of this wisp of energy was like the spring rain soaking into the frozen earth, giving Angel the illusion of rebirth.
The energy flowed smoothly through the Spiritual Power Model, and when it reached the last segment of the channel, Angel breathed a long sigh of relief.
The Magic Vortex Embryo could function normally. Its generated Essence Energy, within the Spiritual Power Model, had successfully completed a closed-loop!
The second test for the Magic Vortex Embryo was thus passed.
The final challenge was next, also the crux of the Whirlpool of Magic Source—stabilizing the Magic Vortex.
Only by completely stabilizing the Magic Vortex could the Whirlpool of Magic Source truly be considered complete.
This step was crucial, as while solidifying the Magic Vortex, the energy sphere that had been left in the vortex would begin to dissipate. Moreover, because the vortex needed to be stabilized, it would inevitably enter a new state of operation, which would attract a large amount of Primordial Magic from the outside into his Mind Space for Transmutation by the vortex.
His Mind Space would definitely be in chaos then.
First, with the dissipation of the energy sphere, Angel had to divert his attention to control it; secondly, he had to regulate Primordial Magic, to prevent the entanglement of two different types of energy. During this process, he must still stabilize the Magic Vortex.
Hence, it was extremely difficult.
There were numerous Apprentices who faltered at this step.
Of course, by comparison, he had it a bit easier than other Apprentices who also had to cope with the agony of Body Metamorphosis at this point, which Angel had managed to avoid.
Angel took a deep breath, with no hesitation, he dived into the last step!
He moved swiftly, using the methods of the Singularity Scattering Meditation Method to begin stabilizing the Magic Vortex Embryo.
The faster the Magic Vortex Embryo could be stabilized, the better, as a quicker pace would mean less energy would be lost.
Angel was multitasking, stabilizing the Magic Vortex on one hand and keeping his eye on the energy sphere on the other. Should any energy escape, he would have to control it immediately, or else it could lead to unforeseeable consequences if it started dispersing within the Mind Space.
However, as time ticked away,
Angel waited for quite some time but saw no energy overflow, which filled him with confusion.
The absence of energy leakage earlier could be attributed to good luck. But now? Energy dissipation at this stage was inevitable…
Although the lack of energy leakage was easier on him, no one could be sure whether this situation was due to an issue with some part of the process, or if it would have deeper implications.
While Angel was bogged down in confusion, a wisp of energy finally dissipated from the energy sphere.
Angel was not alarmed, but pleased. Dissipation was the norm after all!
Because he had been watching the energy sphere, he captured the escaping wisp instantly and prevented it from diffusing deep into the Mind Space.
Angel began to observe this dissipating energy, and as he did, he noticed something he had not paid attention to before.
There seemed to be a familiar attraction within this energy.
Feeling this pull, a memory suddenly surged in Angel’s mind—
Three hours earlier, the location was the Soul Realm.
Frost indifferently passed him a cocktail glass, which contained not alcohol, but a translucent liquid.
Angel could not resist the attraction emitted by this liquid, his entire body, even his Mind Space was screaming “thirst”… And so, Angel drank it.
At the time, there was no discomfort whatsoever.
Later, when Frost was leaving, he told him, “The water I gave you is called ‘Brandy Soft Water,’ and it works wonders with Kou Wind.”
