c396: 23: Higher-Dimensional Player (2) (2)

He had once traded a beautiful stone he found for a metal javelin from the Catmen.

The sun set.

Catman priests lit the eternal flames of the Dragon Altar, quickly gathering hundreds before the altar to start their daily prayers. They prayed once at sunrise and sunset, while other Catman followers performed rituals once on weekends.

"It seems peaceful."

Duncan casually marked a Wood Elf Mage who arrived in the Northern Land and swiped his hand, bringing up the projection page of the third human form.

In a dark underground tunnel.

Tassia was manipulating the mechanical arm, incessantly digging downward. This was indeed an ancient underground ruin, though uncertain how deep it went; their pioneer team had been busy here for nearly half a month, having some discoveries, but not yet finding the anticipated big find.

Duncan had been overseeing the third human form for a while now.

Just as he thought the day would end without any significant finds and was about to switch to the first screen, Tassia’s delighted voice rang out: "Look here!"

"What have I discovered?"

A cry of surprise came from afar.

In the Dimension Space, Duncan instantly sat up, his mind moved, and the projection pages of the first and second worlds were all pushed to both sides, with the third world’s projection page taking the central position, magnified to almost the size of a movie screen.

He was getting more accustomed to the perspective of a high-dimensional being.

Tassia excitedly stood up, having dug up the rock layer underground, and picked up a buried metal statue, exclaiming to the others: "Look!"

"This is a relic from the Mysterious Era!"

The mechanical arm behind her slowly extracted the buried statue from beneath the earth, and as she lifted it, a beam of light shone on it, revealing a bearded figure holding a hammer.

"Caution."

A relic scholar beside her hurriedly said, "It appears to be a ritual item from the Mysterious Era!"

"Let me see what’s inscribed on it?"

"Mor... La... Din..."

"God of Dwarfs!... Leader of the Dwarf Gods?... Father God of Dwarves... God of Forging... Protector... Lord of the Earth’s Core..."

Unknowingly, his voice grew increasingly tremulous, and stopping was already impossible.

A vague rumbling of rocks sounded around.

"This isn’t a relic of the Mysterious Era."

Not far from him, Bert, dressed in the garb of an Esoteric Practitioner, suddenly changed his expression and said, "This is an underground relic of the Mythical Era."

"What’s enshrined inside is an extinct God of the Dwarfs!..."

"They once thrived in the Underworld."
