Valencia rolled her eyes and sat down on the ground. She glared at the two in the dark world, pouting.
âWhat is it this time?â she grumbled.
Vrastos chuckled, pointing at Athesia.
âMother of all wants to talk to you⊠I canât force her to leave⊠because she wonât listen to me.â
âVrastosâŠâ Athesia murmured, squinting her eyes.
He shrugged and darted away.
âWhat does he mean he canât force you? Arenât you in his realm?â Valencia wondered.
âChild, I am the creator of them⊠I used every ounce of my power to finally get in contact with him because he kept pushing me outââ
âBlah, blah, blah, blah, blahâŠâ Vrastos snarled. âYou and everyone else treated me like a virus. Now youâre seeking my help?â
âIâve always thought you were specialââ
âWhatever⊠say whatever you want to say and leaveâŠâ Vrastos demanded. âThen get out of my world. I hate seeing any of you.â
âAny?â Valencia repeated. She darted her gaze to Vrastos. âAre all other EspersâŠ?â
âLight, Nature, Water, and whatever⊠yeah, there are others. So donât bring them here by meeting them,â Vrastos answered, waving his hand without looking at her.
âButâŠâ
âLight already feels useless because his vessel is weak.â
Valencia paused, thinking.
âYou mean⊠Lord Kael?â
âHe was supposed to be dead a long time ago⊠I wonder what kept him alive all these years without any stability,â Vrastos cackled. Athesia stared at him. âThat bastard should learn to thank me for helping him a little, donât you think, Athesia?â
âThe one who stole my power⊠was the same person who placed a barrier for you. Arenât you afraid that this person will steal your power?â
âI donât care!â Vrastos exclaimed. Then he locked eyes with her, grinning. âAt least, I realized that they find me powerful when you all think otherwise!â
âVrastosââ
âThereâs Darkness⊠when the light fadesâŠâ he whispered.
Valencia stared at them, in silence between each other. She grunted, standing as she hurried to Vrastosâs side.
âTeach me how to control it!â she demanded.
Vrastos looked at her, tilting his head with a grin.
âLittle one⊠goodbye.â
Then he pointed at her, pulling her away from the dimensionâ
Athesia slashed her sleeves in the air, stopping Vrastos.
âVrastos, I havenât finished talkingââ
âI donât need to hear you talk⊠you have enough power to enter my dimension without my permission!â Vrastos argued.
Valencia felt the rage inside her, not that she felt anger. Athesia kept her gaze on him.
âI barely have enough to find the person⊠but youâre on a different level. You have an enormous amount of power⊠to break through,â Athesia revealed.
Valencia gasped and glared at him.
âYou? You can break through, but youâŠâ she muttered, then paused.
Vrastos looked at Valenciaâs eyes and smiled.
âIâm savoring it⊠for the finale,â he replied.
Valenciaâs jaw tightened, her fists clenching, yet tears appeared in her eyes.
âSo⊠you let my mother feel the pain that was meant for you?!â
âSheâs not my vesselâŠâ
âShe protected and stabilized your VESSEL!â Valencia shouted, her eyes blurred in dark rage.
Vrastos stood and walked to her.
âSo what? I never want to be a part of their life to begin withââ
âTHEN GET OUT OF MINES!â Valencia demanded with her distorted voice, reaching for his neck. Vrastos grabbed her wrist. He twirled her around, pulling her and holding her hostage. âLET GO!â
âCalm down, little oneââ
âVrastos sure sounds like a complicated fatherâŠâ Athesia chuckled.
Vrastos shot a glare at her.
âShut upââ
âLET GO!â Valencia struggled.
âHeyâŠâ Vrastos called. Then he pulled her hand to hold her chin up. âIf I have the power to get out of your life, I would have done it a long time agoâŠâ
âBut that⊠would have cost your life,â Athesia said.
