Qi Guan glanced at Palace Master Yao. To him, the woman was someone he could only look up to. He had never expected that, one day, she would serve as someone’s maid. It was a pity, and he regretted it.
"May I ask if you have obtained a white willow, Third Boss?"
"Isn’t that obvious?" Lu Yin answered bluntly.
Qi Guan was stunned. Throughout his entire life, no one had ever dared to speak so rudely to him before. He was a member of the Qi family, which was supported by the High Seraph himself. Things had always gone smoothly for Qi Guan. Even though the Revolt Alliance was an enemy of his family, not even they had ever been so disrespectful. Lu Yin's attitude left him momentarily speechless.
"Did you come to see me without knowing anything about the White Willow? What? Do you consider yourself some sort of master and want to have a bit of fun with me?" Lu Yin sneered.
Qi Guan shifted his mentality, suppressing his blossoming anger and growing hostility. He then said in a low voice, "The White Willow is a treasure of the Consciousness Domain. If you have it, Third Boss, my Qi family is willing to pay any price to have the White Willow returned, as well as Sage Qian."
Lu Yin took a snack from Palace Master Yao and tossed it into his mouth, only to immediately spit it back out. "That’s terrible! Change it."
Palace Master Yao handed Lu Yin a different snack.
Lu Yin tasted it, but he repeated, "That’s terrible! Change it.
"Still disgusting. What's going on? Doesn't the Vast Qian Domain have any good snacks or fruits? Any sort of delicacy will work."
Old Tao spoke up in an ingratiating tone, "Young Master, the Vast Qian Domain doesn't produce such things. However, when we get to the Nine Horizons, things will be different. People gather there all year-round from all parts of the Spirit Nidus, and they bring countless fine wines and delicacies with them. You will definitely be satisfied then."
Lu Yin reluctantly grunted. "Alright, but then we need to get there quickly. Why haven't we left yet?"
Old Tao pointed at Qi Guan, who stood in front of the sedan. "Someone is still here."
Lu Yin frowned and turned to look at Qi Guan. "What's your name again? What do you want? Since you’re blocking my way, are you trying to provoke me?"
Qi Guan suppressed his anger. It was clear that this young man was intentionally humiliating him, but it was still infuriating. Why had no one dealt with this Grandverse Manor yet?
The Grandverse Manor had offended the High Seraph, so it was impossible for them to exist for long. When the time came, he would personally flay this person alive.
“I am Qi Guan, and I would like to make a deal with you, Third Boss. We are willing to pay an exorbitant price for you to release the White Willow and Sage Qian to us.”

Qi Guan replied, “Of course not. It’s just that this matter needs to be fully investigated. I ask that you make things easier for us, Third Boss.”
“If you want convenience, go somewhere else. Nothing here’s convenient,” Lu Yin said dismissively.
Qi Guan wanted to slap the young man dead. However, given the current situation, Qi Guan was forced to swallow his anger and slowly bow. “Please, Third Boss, name your price. The White Willow and Sage Qian are of no use to you, while my Qi family is willing to pay any price for them.”
Lu Yin looked puzzled. “Are you truly willing to pay any price to obtain them?”
Old Tao interjected, “Third Boss, the one who guarded the White Willow when it was stolen was Qi Shangjun, who is a powerful Ortuser. Qi Shangjun is on the Black Spirit List and has been given seven stars due to being an absolute powerhouse. If the Qi family can expose the truth of what happened back then, Qi Shangjun will be allowed to return, which means adding a powerful Ortuser back to their family. With that, no matter what, the Revolt Alliance won’t ever be able to defeat the Qi family.
“The Qi family doesn’t merely want to purchase the White Willow or even Sage Qian, but rather the truth behind what happened.”
Qi Guan grew furious, and he glared viciously at Old Tao. “Even if Qi Shangjun returns, it won’t be enough to suppress the Revolt Alliance. Old Tao, the Qi family and you have history together. Don’t spout nonsense!”
Old Tao was taken aback. “You can’t defeat the Revolt Alliance, even with another Ortuser? Your Qi family really has fallen.”
Qi Guan glared at Old Tao with eyes blazing with hatred. This old man deserves to die.
Old Tao had no choice. All he could do was whole-heartedly serve the Grandverse Manor. If he tried to appease both sides, he would ultimately obtain nothing at all. Even if he did please someone, it was never his intention. He was already half-devoted to the Tianyuan Megaverse, as was Yi Xia, the lord of Beacon City, who was from the Daquan Domain.
Lu Yin grew impatient. “What you want is none of my concern. If you want the White Willow and Sage Qian, fine. Bring me a sequence base to pay for them.”
Qi Guan lost his temper. A sequence base? Throughout the entire Spirit Nidus, even with the sequence bases that the Gate of Laws kept hidden and secret, there could not be more than fifteen. They were one of the Spirit Nidus’s foundations. Where would the Qi family find a sequence base? Even if they did obtain one, it was impossible for them to trade it for anything.
“Third Boss, even if you are unwilling to trade the White Willow, Sage Qian is of no use to you. The Qi family hopes that you might show them a bit of favor, Third Boss. As long as you name a price that is within reason, my Qi family is willing to return this favor,” Qi Guan requested again.
At this moment, another person arrived. It was a woman.
“This humble girl is Wu Tong, from the Revolt Alliance. Greetings, Third Boss.” The woman bowed, showing a far more servile attitude than Qi Guan’s. While Qi Guan had been neither servile nor overbearing, Wu Tong immediately lowered herself before Lu Yin.
