c4159: Absolute Means (2)

Soon, Lu Yin and Lu Yuan sat down across from each other. They each raised a hand and sliced open their palms. Their blood floated up and merged. As that happened, Lu Yin released his Karmic Dao.

His Karmic Dao could spread far beyond the Tianyuan, but within the Mirari Realm, he restrained it to a small range.

A spiral of karma circled their joined blood. Where there was cause, there had to be an effect. Using the origin of his bloodline, Lu Yin used karma to search for how to awaken the innate gift. This was the method that he had come up with.

After growing his third innate gift, Lu Yuan could clearly sense that his descendants could also awaken it. That even included those who had already been born, as the very origin of their bloodline had transformed. Such was the nature of cultivation. If Lu Yin eventually became an Immortal, he could lift up the entire Lu family with him.

Lu Yin might eventually awaken the innate gift naturally, but he could not afford to wait that long.

The Mirari Realm lacked time, but its occupants could still feel its passage. They did not want to wait any longer.

Additionally, the hidden Immortal from Obscura was still an unpredictable threat.

Greater Sancte Blood Tower stood guard, watching as the blood merged and karma was used to search for an answer. He sighed. “The Lu family truly understands both innate gifts and karma. Even Senior Green Lotus might not surpass Mr. Lu in this field.

“Yes... he should unquestionably have children. Our civilization can afford it, and it’s important.”

As blood and karma intertwined, a green glow welled up within Lu Yuan and flowed into Lu Yin.

Lu Yin felt the green light, which was the power of the Immortal Lord. He saw the green stalk in Lu Yuan’s Progenitor’s world, as well as Yan Ruyu. Lu Yin could feel her emotions, and her devotion to him was so overwhelming that it nearly drowned him.

The green light traveled along the karma spiral into Lu Yin’s inner universe. There, a tiny green star took form. It was just a speck of light, and yet its presence was undeniable; it allowed Lu Yin to clearly sense Yan Ruyu’s existence.

If I can sense Yan Ruyu... then can I also sense the Immortal Lord?

Even as the thought formed, a strange sensation surged through him. The space around him shattered and reformed repeatedly as his eyes snapped open. His surroundings were completely unchanged, and yet it felt as if some invisible barrier had shattered. He was breathing more freely.

It was like a fish returning to the water. There was a sense of freedom without restraints. Is this... teleportation?

Lu Yuan lowered his hand as Lu Yin withdrew his Karmic Dao.

Greater Sancte Blood Tower’s eyes remained locked onto the young man.

Lu Yin glanced at his hands and then around the area before instantly vanishing.

Greater Sancte Blood Tower turned to look at the bank of the River of Aeons. He let out a heavy breath, and then burst out laughing. “Congratulations, Mr. Lu!”

Tuo Lin and Yan Ruyu immediately cheered. “Congratulations, Master!”

Lu Yuan watched while smiling. It was done.

Lu Yin stared across the River of Aeons. He spread out his arms and embraced the void. Space rippled around him like waves.

He already had some comprehension of the power of space, but when he compared that to this new sensation, all of Lu Yin’s previous understanding became insignificant.

Space was no longer space, and distance was no longer distance. Anywhere his vision reached, he could touch. This was teleportation.

“Let’s head out.”

They soon exited the Mirari Realm, and Lu Yin immediately released his Karmic Dao, merging it with the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm. He looked towards the Nine Odysseys Megaverse.

Because of how much his Karmic Dao had improved by, the time it took his perception to reach the Nine Odysseys Megaverse through the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm had dropped from more than ten days to only five. After five days, Lu Yin looked at the megaverse. He saw the Mother Tree piercing the sky, the Sea of Karma, and Greater Sancte Green Lotus.

Green Lotus looked up and gave a faint smile.

Lu Yin suddenly vanished, instantly reappearing in front of the Immortal.

It felt like a dream.

When had traveling from the Tianyuan to the Nine Odysseys Megaverse ever been so fast?

Five days—it had taken just five days.

He would never forget that, when the Nest civilization had invaded the Tianyuan, he had been tormented for an entire year, waiting to travel back home while fearing that his home megaverse would be destroyed before he arrived. His hopes had risen and fallen so many times during that journey.

None of that would happen anymore. He could make the journey in five days, and as his Karmic Dao grew stronger, that time would further shorten. Someone like Greater Sancte Green Lotus only needed a few days to look at the entirety of human civilization, so just looking at the Tianyuan from the Nine Odysseys Megaverse had to be even quicker.

Of course, that could still not compare to Luo Chan.

However, Luo Chan’s teleportation had its own drawbacks. Had the bug been capable of the same kind of teleportation as Lu Yin and Lu Yuan, it might have sensed Greater Sancte Blood Tower when he was hiding near the Immortal beast, and that would have prevented the bug from being captured.

Every strength came with its own weakness.
