c677: “Keep Me Company First.”

As Shien Buztout and Shafney left, the events at the Succubus City gate spread throughout the city.

Countless tribes learned that a powerful human had entered Succubus City and even caught the Succubus’s attention, seemingly favored by her.

This news caused an uproar.

“The Succubus is actually interested in a human?”

“She even approached him personally?”

“Impossible!”

“A mere human, what qualifies him to be favored by Her Highness?”

This was the thought of almost everyone.

As the most powerful tribes in the Succubus Territory, those gathered here were undoubtedly admirers of the Succubus. Living so close to her, most had seen her once or twice in their long lives, becoming captivated regardless of gender.

The Succubus was their highest deity, the object of their adoration, worship, and even fanatical love.

They didn’t expect to gain her favor, only hoping to catch a glimpse of her.

Many even collected her portraits or images to ease their longing.

The Succubus was the goddess, the dream lover, of countless people.

Now, being told that their beloved goddess was interested in a human caused an even greater sensation than when Shien became Lucy’s fiancé.

Even the powerful figures of the major tribes lost their composure.

“What’s that human’s background?”

“To pique Her Highness’s interest, he must be extraordinary.”

“I want to see what kind of person he is.”

Some started investigating Shien with this in mind.

“Could that human be…?”

“Most likely.”

“Besides such a being, what other human expert could attract Master Shafney’s attention?”

Some had already guessed Shien’s identity and began to ponder.

Some even started to act, seemingly planning something irrational.

This included those close to Shafney.

Thus, the commotion continued to spread, and many, with or without ulterior motives, took action.

Meanwhile, Shien, following Shafney, arrived at the Succubus Fortress.

This was the Succubus’s residence, or rather, her personal quarters.

This fortress, standing at the highest point in Succubus City, also served as the center of power for the Succubus Territory and Succubus City. Only the Succubus’s executives and their subordinates, who managed the territory and city, were allowed free access. Others needed special permission to enter.

The fortress gate even had two guards. These two guards were gigantic, at least ten meters tall, like two massive statues, wielding towering spears, their faces stern and resolute.

If one sensed carefully, they would discover that these two guards’ levels were astonishingly high.

They were both level ninety.

Yes.

Level ninety.

These two guards were Legendary-level experts.

“Master Shafney.”

“Master Shafney.”

When Shafney and Shien appeared, the two giant guards moved, kneeling before Shafney with a resounding thud.

That momentum, that sound, showcased their extraordinary power.

“Holy moly…” Even Shien was stunned. He had never seen such large beings, let alone genuine Legendary-level experts.

Shafney ignored them and introduced them to Shien.

“They are the only two Legendary-level experts of the Rock Giant Clan, and also two of my eight executives. Impressive, right?”

Shafney said with a smile, as if showing off to Shien.

“Rock Giant Clan?” Shien looked at Shafney questioningly, then, caught off guard by her beautiful smiling face, his heart skipped a beat, and he quickly looked away.

“You haven’t heard of the Rock Giant Clan?” Shafney asked, chuckling, seemingly not noticing Shien’s reaction, “They are the rarest race in the Demon Realm, with only a few dozen members. However, they naturally reach level eighty upon adulthood. If it weren’t for their small numbers and long childhood, taking at least a thousand years to reach adulthood, they could definitely rival the Dragon Race.”

Such a powerful race, and their only two Legendary-level experts were executives under Shafney.

“You actually have such powerful executives guarding the gate?” Shien was speechless.

Unexpectedly, before Shafney could answer, the two Rock Giants spoke first.

“It’s our honor to guard the gate for Master Shafney!”

“Insignificant being, don’t you dare insult us!”
