c577: "Looks Good, Love to See It, Want More!

Renee Jennings and Diana Jennings arrived at the Old Place.

This was a small tavern opened by Faye Wyatt’s elementary school classmate, hidden in a priceless siheyuan courtyard. Under the gray-tiled eaves, a plaque was carved with two words: Old Place.

Inside the small tavern, a house band was playing and singing gentle old songs.

Upon entering the siheyuan, most of the tables and chairs in the main courtyard were empty. Only three or five tables of guests were quietly and intently listening to the music.

Faye Wyatt had called ahead to reserve a spot. When a waitress with her hair in a bun came up to ask, she heard the familiar name and immediately broke into a smile.

"Oh, you’re Wendy’s guests. This way, please."

The waitress with the bun led the two to the west wing.

Sylvia Brooks was already sitting inside. Seeing the two enter, she immediately stood up to greet them. "Diana, Renee, you’re here."

"Summer," Diana Jennings greeted with a smile.

Renee Jennings took out her phone and sent a WeChat message to Michelle Fuller: [We’re here.]

She scanned the QR code on the table with her phone and looked up to ask Sylvia Brooks, "Have you ordered a drink yet?"

"Not yet." Sylvia Brooks shook her head.

"Then see what you want to drink." Renee Jennings handed her the phone.

Sylvia Brooks ordered a Margarita and handed the phone to Diana Jennings. "Diana, your turn."

Diana Jennings ordered a Mojito and returned the phone. "Renee, it’s your turn."

"Okay." Renee Jennings took the phone and chose a B-52, which she had never tried before. "What should I get for Michelle? A Maiden’s Prayer?"

When it was Faye Wyatt’s turn, she thought carefully for a moment. "Faye gets a Possessiveness."

The two arrived at the Old Place one after the other.

Five cocktails were already on the table.

Renee Jennings explained, "I took the liberty of ordering a Possessiveness for Faye, and Michelle’s is a Maiden’s Prayer."

Faye Wyatt sat down and raised an eyebrow at her in the flickering light. "Renee, that’s a bit on the nose. I get what you mean~"

"Hm?" Renee Jennings blinked innocently. "What do you mean?"

"You want to possess me," Faye Wyatt said, her words startlingly bold.

Renee Jennings’s face slowly grew warm. She smiled, raised her glass, and clinked it against Faye’s.

Michelle Fuller joined in the fun. "Renee, I get what you mean, too!"

Renee Jennings raised her eyebrows slightly and asked with a smile, "Explain?"

"It’s obvious." Michelle Fuller cradled her glass, feigning shyness. "You’re saying I’m your maiden’s prayer."

The others present burst into peals of laughter.

Renee Jennings nodded with a straight face. "Mm, that’s a very reasonable explanation."

"Sigh," Sylvia Brooks suddenly lamented.

"Summer, what’s wrong?" Diana Jennings, sitting beside her, looked at her with concern.

Hearing this, the others all turned to look at Sylvia Brooks, their eyes asking what was the matter.

"I have regrets."

"Regret what?" Michelle Fuller asked.

Sylvia Brooks: "I regret not letting Renee order a drink for me."

Renee Jennings didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "Is it too late to order one now?"

"It’s not too late," Sylvia Brooks said, nodding seriously. "After I finish this one."

"Okay," Renee Jennings said. "I’ll remember that."

Half an hour later, with their drinks nearly finished, Renee Jennings scanned the QR code again. "I’m ordering a drink for Summer. Sis, do you want me to order one for you?"

"Yes," Diana Jennings replied with a slight nod.

Renee Jennings ordered an "Around the World" for Sylvia Brooks and a "Tequila Sunrise" for Diana Jennings.

The waitress brought the drinks over, and Sylvia Brooks and Diana Jennings exchanged a look.

"Renee wants to go around the world with me."

"She wants to watch the sunrise with me."

Renee Jennings gave them both a thumbs-up. "I’m so lucky, to have four great beauties all at once."

"I call being the first wife," Michelle Fuller said. She had been drinking, and her cheeks were slightly flushed. She playfully puffed out her chest. "Because mine are bigger."

Faye Wyatt stared at her chest for a few seconds and said seriously, "Michelle, I’m not trying to put you down, but when it comes to big chests, Bella’s are bigger."

Diana Jennings’s face instantly turned red. She subconsciously hunched her shoulders. "No, they’re... not that big."

Knowing her reserved nature, Faye Wyatt didn’t tease her further. She offered a couple of compliments with a smile, then changed the subject. "Renee, did Aria Sinclair contact you tonight?"

Renee Jennings swallowed a bite of grilled beef and nodded. "She called me. Said she’s going to buy a house tomorrow and wants to give it to me."
