Vincent Morgan’s eyes narrowed, instantly grasping the hidden meaning in Yvonne Morgan’s words. "So you’re saying you’re *still* my sister?"
Yvonne Morgan realized she might have said the wrong thing and quickly tried to recover. "But you’re the one who said I would always be your sister, didn’t you?"
"I did say that." Vincent Morgan’s expression turned stern. "But that wasn’t your attitude back then."
Back then, she always acted so humble, understanding, and accommodating.
She often said she wasn’t a part of this family, that if Renee Jennings was willing to come back, she would leave immediately.
’So why the sudden change of tune?’
Yvonne Morgan’s eyelashes trembled as she explained in a low voice, "I only said that because hearing you ask me to stay made me feel secure."
"Aunt told you," Vincent Morgan said, his tone certain.
"What?" Yvonne Morgan feigned confusion. "What did Aunt tell me?"
Vincent Morgan raised a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, his tone flat yet dangerous. "It seems I should book a ticket to a different destination."
"I’m not leaving!" Yvonne Morgan took a few steps back, her voice rising. "I am a daughter of the Morgan family!"
"So you did find out." Vincent Morgan studied her, a complicated look in his eyes. "Yvonne," he advised, "you’d be better off leaving this place."
"I won’t leave!" Yvonne Morgan shrieked, her expression agitated. "I’m Dad’s daughter! Why should I be the one to leave?"
’I have to stay so I can inherit the Morgan family fortune.’
"You’re not leaving?" Vincent Morgan asked.
"That’s right. This is my home."
"Fine." Vincent Morgan stood up and walked straight to the door. "This is your choice. I hope you won’t regret it."
"Why would I regret it?" Yvonne Morgan asked, confused.
Vincent Morgan had already walked out of the study.
He went up to the second floor and knocked on Aria Sinclair’s door.
"Come in."
Vincent Morgan pushed the door open and walked in. "Mom, Yvonne doesn’t want to leave."
"I see." Aria Sinclair set down her tablet. "Let’s go to a hotel for now. We’ll look at villas tomorrow."
’She hadn’t planned on keeping this house anyway. Since Yvonne Morgan refuses to leave, she can have the place to herself.’
When Aria Sinclair left, she dismissed all the staff, checking into the presidential suite with Vincent Morgan and two maids.
Zoe Morgan arrived at the Morgan residence, only to find the main gate locked tight and the passcode changed. She couldn’t get in at all.
Frowning, she dialed Yvonne Morgan’s number. "Yvonne, are you home?"
"I am."
"Come to the gate and let me in."
"Why? Can’t you get in by yourself?"
Zoe Morgan explained, "I can’t. The code’s been changed."
"Okay, I’m coming now." As Yvonne Morgan left her room, she realized the house was dead silent. She didn’t see a single servant.
’Where the hell did everyone go?’
Yvonne Morgan slowly made her way to the main gate, opened it, and said suspiciously, "Auntie, there’s not a single person in the house."
"How can that be?" A sense of unease washed over Zoe Morgan.
"I don’t know." Yvonne Morgan then recounted how Vincent Morgan had told her to pack her bags and leave the Morgan family. "Dad must have told them!"
Zoe Morgan’s brow furrowed, a flicker of displeasure in her eyes. "How could Vincent do that to you? You’re his own sister! He’s gone too far!"
"What should we do now?" Yvonne Morgan asked.
"Your father is still angry right now." Zoe Morgan sat on the sofa and comforted her. "Wait until tomorrow. I’ll contact him and find out what’s going on."
"Okay, I’ll listen to you, Auntie." Yvonne Morgan nodded lightly, but inwardly she thought, ’She’s so useless.’

After dinner, Renee Jennings suddenly received a call from Faye Wyatt.
She stood in the moonlight and asked softly, "Faye, are you asking me out for a few drinks?"
Hearing this, Faye Wyatt sounded pleasantly surprised. "Really? You can make it?"
"Of course."
"The usual spot at ten, then?"
"Deal."
"Oh, right, bring your sister, Summer, and Michelle."
"Got it."
"Wait, don’t hang up yet." Faye Wyatt remembered she hadn’t gotten to the real reason she called. "Aria Sinclair asked me for your phone number. Is it okay to give it to her?"
