Luci stepped past the Black Dragon Issac, slowly walked up to Diescher, and gave a slight bow, “Lord Diescher, we met once in the Dwarf Grave Dimension a century ago. I heard afterward that you had ascended to the rank of True Knowledge Wizard, and since then, I’ve stayed in Genoa. Indeed, I still cherish the feeling of campaigning under your command.”
In the blood-drenched battles of the Dwarf Grave Dimension, Diescher had been there to obtain the latest news from the frontlines. The chaos was so great that, eventually, he too was drawn into the conflict. It must be said, it was that battle that propelled Diescher to breakthrough to True Knowledge and find his own path.
As Diescher regarded Luci, who displayed a faint smile, his expression remained inscrutable, “Indeed, it has been a long time. You’ve also ascended to the rank of Official Wizard, Luci. I imagine the path to True Knowledge isn’t far for you.”
Diescher paused for a moment, “I suspect you didn’t come all this way just to exchange pleasantries with me?”
Luci and Issac exchanged glances, and with a light chuckle, Luci said, “Actually, I saw some glimpses of the future in the Abyss, and I realized the issue that has plagued us for so long could be resolved…”
Luci looked at Rivetta, “…with the answers found within Rivetta. Therefore, we hurried back from the Abyss specially for this purpose.”
With that being said, how could Rivetta not understand what they were there for.
Undoubtedly, they were here for Angel.
Luci couldn’t predict the events in the Barbarian Cave, given its profound heritage. For a Prophet Wizard to penetrate the vast web cast by the Mirror Lady and the Tree Spirit was profoundly difficult.
On the other hand, Genoa, neither shrouded by the Forest of Night Whisper nor guarded, being an open city, was normally observed by the Prophecy Art, which wasn’t surprising.
Yet, what Rivetta hadn’t expected was that, not long after she returned from the Barbarian Cave, individuals from the Frostmoon Alliance had already come knocking.
Rivetta glanced at Diescher, who, after a moment of contemplation, nodded at her, “Show them. After all, it won’t be long before it’s published in the new edition.”
Faced with the formidable threat of a powerful Black Dragon and a mysterious Prophet Wizard, Diescher, after weighing his options, decided to take a step back.
Rivetta felt stifled, but against the colossal might of the Frostmoon Alliance, she was left without recourse.
She could only hand over the proof copy to Luci.
Luci, having received the proof copy, immediately employed the Reading Art for a quick perusal. In less than a minute, he had laid eyes on all the news contained within.
Luci’s expression fluctuated continuously—he hadn’t expected the truth he discovered to be so startling!
Angel was actually still alive?!
Instead, it was the True Spirit of the Lord of the Flameless that had perished!
Luci’s reaction raised Issac’s curiosity, “What’s wrong, is this fake news?”
Luci gently shifted the clocks on his person, and a magical rhythm danced around him, making everyone feel as though they were witnessing a great clock in that moment.
The vision lasted only briefly before fading away.
“No, all this news is real.”
Having replied to Issac, Luci addressed Rivetta, “Do you plan to publish this as a new issue of Glowing City Night Talk?”
“Yes,” Rivetta answered.
“Is there any way to delay this issue?” Luci, sensing the significance of the news and guessing that Glowing City Night Talk wouldn’t easily let this go, added, “We can provide other information for you, you only need to delay the publication for a few issues.”
Rivetta’s expression had already darkened, already pushed to her limit by showing them the proof copy; now being asked to delay publication was simply unbearable!
However, she was no fool and understood the situation well enough not to argue.
“We can delay, but in no more than two weeks, the ‘Mirror’ in the Barbarian Cave will publish this news, and I also received this news from Wallace, even paying a high price for the right to publish it early. You might stop me, but can you stop Wallace?”
Forest of Night Whisper might cease publication under duress, but would the Barbarian Cave, equally a behemoth as Frostmoon, bow to threats from you, Luci?
Even without prophecy, Luci could see that Rivetta was not lying.
If the ‘Mirror’ truly intended to release it, they definitely couldn’t stop it.
At this, Luci suddenly felt a sense of uncertainty… What was the meaning of Barbarian Cave’s actions? They didn’t only refrain from hiding the matter, but they openly announced it, how should he interpret their motives?
