Before Dumatin could finish, Angel interrupted directly, "Don’t even think about it."
Dumatin felt Angel’s resolute tone, pondered for two seconds, and said, "I’m just curious, not necessarily intending to research their bodies."
"It better be this way." Angel lightly remarked, standing up, "Do you have any other matters? If not, I will take my leave first."
Dumatin: "There is one more thing, I hope to apply for some usage rights of the log-in devices."
Angel looked over, his eyebrows slightly furrowing, "I have handed all the log-in devices to Lord Rhein. If you want usage rights, you can apply to Lord Rhein."
Dumatin shrugged his shoulders, "The first moment I entered the Wilderness of Dreams, I went to see Lord Rhein. He did not agree, saying that the most crucial thing now is the construction of the New City, and the log-in devices will be prioritized for those who have taken corresponding tasks. Furthermore, the number of log-in devices I need is quite large."
For this reason, Dumatin sought out Angel.
"What do you need so many log-in devices for?" Angel asked somewhat puzzled.
Dumatin: "Also for research. Besides the permanent residents, I want to study the bodies of some creatures that enter the Wilderness of Dreams for a short time. This includes, but is not limited to, humans, magical creatures, beast species, humanoids, fairies, elemental creatures, etc..."
This includes mortals and beings whose entire existence, including their souls, are extraordinary lives.
Dumatin wants to see what kind of bodies these different lives will be given after entering the Wilderness of Dreams, according to its mechanisms. What differences will these bodies have?
After hearing Dumatin’s words, Angel felt slightly moved.
If it’s solely a study on humans, it is indeed difficult to determine the body generation mechanism of the Wilderness of Dreams. The biological differences Dumatin mentioned are also an aspect of the research.
Angel pondered for a while, then said to Dumatin, "Come with me."
Dozens of minutes later, aboard an empty airship, Angel took Dumatin away from Originheart City, to a canyon some tens of miles away from the city.
The canyon was very serene, with not only lush but also very dense surrounding trees, intertwined branches forming a heavy encirclement around the canyon.
However, when Angel and Dumatin walked into the canyon, these dense trees suddenly transformed. They uprooted themselves and shifted to the sides, as if seeing a monarch, opening up a narrow path leading straight into the depths of the canyon.
Dumatin watched this scene, his eyes flickering slightly.
The virtual magic power nearby, although of very low concentration, was not absent. With Dumatin’s keen perception, he could vaguely sense the flow of virtual magic power around.
However, the scene where "trees made way," he couldn’t feel any energy flow. Neither from the trees nor from Angel.
It was as if these trees truly had self-awareness, voluntarily making way for Angel? Was it because Angel was the creator, or did these trees possess some peculiarities?
Filled with doubts, Dumatin was unaware that all the trees here were controlled by a towering giant tree from afar. And currently, Angel was the sole controller of the Tree Civilization’s authority.
Following the narrow path that had opened, Angel led Dumatin deeper into the canyon.
Upon entering the canyon, Dumatin immediately heard bursts of roaring. Looking into the distance, he saw a group of dark shadows at the end of the path that had been opened, rushing towards the solitary passage amidst swirling dust.
However, before they reached the road, those large trees closed the path again, forming a natural barrier, sealing the canyon tightly.
And at this point, Dumatin also saw the true nature of the dark shadows.
They were all low-level beast species, including sandalwood deer, cliffside rock goats, dragon-tailed green lizards, canyon giant snails... and so on.
There were quite a few types and numbers, almost nothing particular. The only commonality was that they were mostly herbivores or omnivores. The omnivores belonged to a weaker category, unable to hunt other animals in the canyon, thus forced to eat grass.
"You can hunt these beasts here for your experiments." Angel pointed to the creatures inside the canyon.
"Alright." Dumatin, upon seeing the appearance of these beasts, had guessed Angel’s intention, but he was still quite excited when Angel consented.
Angel glanced at Dumatin, expecting that he might ask why there were beasts in this canyon, but Dumatin didn’t seem to plan on asking.
Actually, after the birth of the Tree Civilization’s authority, Frode had suggested researching biological differences. For this purpose, he even brought a batch of animal samples from reality, releasing them in this canyon. However, because the biological chain was still incomplete, they could only start with herbivores and omnivores, leading to the current scene in the canyon.
However, unforeseen circumstances struck, and later Frode, dealing with lingering darkness issues and numerous research topics at hand, prioritized others over biological difference research.
Now that Dumatin intends to take over this research, Angel decided to grant him the usage rights of this canyon.
Moreover, compared to Frode, Dumatin’s research level is undoubtedly higher. Entrusting the canyon to him would evidently yield more results.
Angel took Dumatin for a walk around the canyon.
The canyon was spacious enough, featuring not only a lake but also a grassland and a fruit forest, more than adequate to host such a group of beast species.
However, after observing the animal types in the canyon, Dumatin was slightly disappointed, "No extraordinary creatures?"
"Not for the time being."
Dumatin pondered for a moment, "From my current observations, I suspect the Wilderness of Dreams differentiates between mortal animals and humans likely in a similar way, so their differences shouldn’t be significant. But for entities inherently constructed as extraordinary lives, what changes occur when they enter the Wilderness of Dreams? Such differences are surely distinct from ordinary creatures."
Thus, compared to ordinary creatures, Dumatin is actually more interested in beings that are inherently extraordinary lives.
"The main body is a Transcendent life..." Angel paused for a moment, "How about Elemental Creatures?"
Dumatin responded without hesitation, "Elemental Creatures are the best!"
Many Magical Creatures are also Transcendent lives, but after entering the Wilderness of Dreams, they might end up like human Wizards, becoming ordinary lives due to insufficient control over energy. Elemental Creatures, however, are different. Their main bodies are composed of elements, and if the Wilderness of Dreams follows basic laws, there’s a high probability that their bodies in the Wilderness of Dreams will also be Elemental Bodies. This sets a clear distinction from other beings.
Therefore, Elemental Creatures are the best research samples.
"Speaking of Elemental Creatures." Angel couldn’t help but think of the group under oath on Wind Island. If he hadn’t left, he might have considered enlisting them as samples.
"I’ll keep an eye out. If I encounter suitable Elemental Creatures, I’ll send them to the Wilderness of Dreams." Angel paused, "If not, there are two options: either wait for me to return to the Wilderness of Dreams to allocate you new Log-in Devices so you can search on your own, or you can go find Lord Reine. He should have Elemental Creatures."
Dumatin automatically dismissed Angel’s first suggestion because he didn’t know Angel’s current environment; in his view, encountering Elemental Creatures outside isn’t that easy.
"Lord Reine has Elemental Creatures?" Dumatin asked, "You mean in the Wilderness of Dreams?"
